Nice park but most sites occupied by seasonal or monthly locals. One pair of sites appears to be the weekend party site with vendor type tent, a hot tub, several grills, tables and chairs for well over the limit of people and visitors. Fortunately they didn't show up the week we were there. The eclectical breakers are getting old and trip on very low demand. We had to change sites to run just one AC on 30 amps. Watch out for fire rings they can be a hazard. Dog-friendliness: Great dog park with three activity areas for large, small and skills training that are very well maintained.
It is a nice place to walk. It has three Pavilions so you can have a picnic. It has camping too, an excellent place to go to if you want something different.
Best dog park in the area! It's beautiful and it's really big. There is a small dog area, a big dog areawhich is huge, and an area for training dogs like a little dog playground lol my beagle loves this park and it's fun to go there I couldn't believe how nice it was the first time I went there I was really impressed.
A very nice park. Went to see live entertainment in the evening. Beautiful setting next to river in Owego. Very clean park with camping and amenities near by. Lots of parking and restrooms on site.
Had an excellent time at the dog park then toured through the rest of the park. Beautiful. Immaculately clean. Conveniently close to town. A gem of a multiuse park.
I grew up in this town Owego, NY this park is beautiful. You can walk, bike, play basket ball, baseball, soccer. You can grill, camp in your RV, launch a boat onto the river. I have had many special events and picnics here. There are also several pavilions there.
We've been coming here after Labor Day for a few weeks every year for many years. It's a great park, & it used to be easy to find a spot then but now it's almost impossible, even on a weekday! The park doesn't have a reservation system, it's owned by the Town of Owego. Spots are available on a 'first come' basis. However, now RVers from the south & locals are coming in the spring and staying all summer, even into the fall, as the park allows 'seasonal' camping. We were able to get one of two spots left! I walked around the camping area very early this morn 5 AM, Tuesday 9/14/21 and a third of the RVs were unoccupied. I suppose at $25 a nite it's a cheap way to store your RV for the summer. The town would do other campers a favor by limiting half the sites to a max of 2 weeks.
This was a nice RV camping and day park. Nice fishing areas, walking areas and geocaching. Restrooms: Nice clean restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly
Kids had a blast. Really laid back. Worked well for our kids aged one to 9.
Hickories is always nice. Right on the river, has a crick, nice paved paths, and a bunchbof pavilions to use.
