I have never had a bad experience here until my aunt went here. They was so nasty to her it was ridiculous. She was in Excruciating pain and the nurses were being mean to her. She is an older woman. They told her she can go, so she asked for a wheel chair. Mind you she arrived in an ambulance becashe was unable to walk. The nurse said in a real mean way “ so how are you gonna walk when you get home without a wheelchair?” I feel like they should treat people like they would treat their own mother. I am very disappointed in this place. I have been speaking highly of this place for decades. That’s completely over.
If I could leave no stars I would. My grandmother was there for 5 days in the last week and I need to say this. This hospital is all about money and less about patient care. At 92 yo she should have had the leg cuffs on to prevent a blood clot and they failed to do so and now we have a blood clot. They also were supposed to refer her to a GI doctor and failed to do that as well. They also didn’t finished her paperwork by Thursday and we were discharged on Tuesday. Trying to tell her primary care what the hospital did isn’t my job. If you or a loved one is sick and I’m need of medical care I recommend novant hospital in Kernersville or Winston salem. They are truly the gold standard in med care. I will never go to high point hospital again for myself or loved ones. Again they have done a Bang up job
I am immensely grateful to the entire medical staff at Atrium Health Wake hospital for their life-saving efforts in rescuing my father just four days ago. When his condition rapidly deteriorated, his wife rushed him to the hospital as he struggled to breathe, with his lungs filled with fluid. Without the quick and decisive action of the doctors and staff, I would forever regret not answering my father's phone call earlier that day. The dedication and expertise of the emergency room team, the ICU staff, and the 6th-floor medical team have given me the priceless gift of hearing my father's voice once again. I cannot express enough gratitude for this incredible outcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a strange coincidence that I fell ill at the same time as my father, and I also was promptly admitted. From the moment I arrived, every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and hopeful. The emergency staff, Ashely, my nurse, the ultrasound technician, CT technician, doctors, and the entire team on the 5th floor especially my nurse Denise and my nurse at night were truly outstanding. Despite the gravity of the situation, they managed to ease my anxiety and ensure that my stay was as pleasant as possible. I regret that I can't recall everyone's name, but please know that I am immensely grateful to each and every one of you. You all played a crucial role in turning what could have been an incredibly trying ordeal into a positive experience. Your care and dedication have left a lasting impact, and I cannot thank you enough. Once again, thank you for everything you did for me and my father. Your professionalism, compassion, and expertise have not gone unnoticed. Please convey my appreciation to your entire team.
ABSOLUTELY WORST LABOR AND POSTPARTUM CARE EVER! Being a mom of 3 - I recently gave birth at this hospital thinking it had to better than Randolph- WRONG. Nurses were judging and room was as small, pathetic, and outdated. Postpartum room was even smaller and don’t get me started on the tiny dirty shower!! Didn’t get my OBGYN out the 7 I saw at my appts I got a random guy. Nurse even mentioned how unorganized and how she cannot wait for her contract to end! Wow Oh and let’s not forget how we were emotionally traumatized due to social worker claiming I was on drugs and threatened a cps case and realized it was from the epidural since they had to test my urine from my catheter bag, and came back an hour later apologizing and said they denied the case but WOW - Please find another OBGYN and make this your last resort! Never gave me my prescription meds, glad I brought my own from home. Didn’t even have the usual baby supplies either - only 5 diapers and these paper wipes you had to wet?! Cheap and could care less about your health!!! Oh and might try to take your baby!
I am shocked at the level of care that this hospital provides. I was there almost 6 hours and truly believe that they will cause your demise if not careful. Not one time did anyone entering my ED room use the sink to wash their hands. My mother had to ask someone to change their gloves after they had put them on, touched cabinets, drawers, the door etc. I had surgery 3 days ago and they undressed my surgical dressing and left my wound open to air for 2 hours in a non-sterile environment. I had to ask for them to come redress it and after additional time waiting the first nurse had an attitude, left the dressing materials on the counter that no one had cleaned, and walked out. I also watched them transfer a syringe of blood out of the room unlabeled and into the hands of someone not wearing the proper PPE. When they finally came back to redress my surgical wound, they poorly wrapped the wound and reused the bandages that they had removed, even though they were partially soiled. The rationale provided was that surgeons have a different wrap process than they do. A basic wrapping technique would have the wound protected and covered. This hospital ED is unorganized, unsanitary, and should be re-evaluated. The staff blatantly wasn't following proper handling and sanitary procedures with patients. If you have a choice and it's life or death, avoid going here. You may not make it. If you go, God be with you. You'll need Him. #ShutThisPlaceDown
I literally thought I was about to die while giving birth naturally ! The staff was neither helpful nor comfortable. Being a 3rd time mom I knew when my baby was coming but was told repeatedly not to push which could’ve killed me & my baby. The room I was put it was terrible & had big gnats flying around & I had to be there for 4days. The shower is tiny so I could imagine a mom that’s bigger than me would have trouble washing. Also the over head lights didn’t work it’s like they put me in the worse room. I had about 2 good nurses, I loved them, thank you so much but I Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
I was seen by Dr.Mintu Mary John today and her service was horrible. She spent approximately seven minutes with me altogether! The visit was extremely rushed and she barley got to know me before she wanted to schedule a follow up appointment for a physical in six months. Do not go to this Doctor! She’s all about time and getting to the next patient to meet her quota in a day. However, the CMA and the receptionist was very nice and seem very caring.
This is the worst hospital in the region. Only go if you want your patient to die. This hospital is really good if your patient has good life insurance and you want to get rid of them. I highly suggest going to Thomasville or Winston Salem. The staff is too busy talking about their stupid beach plans and how to get a tan on the beach. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. AVOID AT ALL COST. This hospital is worst than Pakistan’s community hospital. The staff is busy eating in the break room and never serious about their patients
I'll keep it brief. I sent my mother flowers while she was at this hospital. They didn't get to her. No one at the hospital cared. The florist was great and actually went to this hospital, found the flowers, and hand delivered to my mother's home bc she was already out of the hospital. The hospital had terrible customer service while resolving this issue. Don't send flowers to this hospital, they will stay at the front desk and not be delivered to the recipient.
These people deserve a good review! My mother broke her femur and she has been so well taken care of, and I am beyond appreciative! Nurses Tiffany & Michelle on 6th floor north were remarkable and they truly care about their patients! They are what all nurses should strive to be. Andrew at he emergency room entry is beyond kind and helpful. Dr. Babcock is one amazing surgeon- top notch- an orthopedic genius. They deserve so much credit and applause. Thank you for your great care for my mother, kindness, and compassion! We are all so grateful to have had you there during this tough time
