This place is amazing. I came for a one night visit as I am moving to the area in a few months. I was greeted warmly and explained everything I needed to know. The guy sorry, I already forgotten his name was super nice. They had firewood for sale which greatly helped. The campground was peaceful and out of the way. Not hard to find at all. They have a pool! It was being refreshed for the season. I wouldn't have gone in since it was still chilly. The bathrooms were clean and of a higher standard than I would have expected.
Last minute shopping for a camp site we found this place figured what’s the worse that can happen. Once we arrived at 9am we knew this place was gonna be great. The pool was clean along with the campground. Ryan the owner was super nice and informative. I will 100% be back 30 a night for tent spots and 70 for their nice cabin a night is such a great deal with all the extras they had to offer.
This is a smallish, family run campground. They have a nice pool, and the bath house building also has the laundry room and a play room. Our RV spot was a pull thru that went up a small incline. While both roomy and private, we could not find a level area. We had a tough time leveling the rig, even with boards and orange leveling blocks. It's also a good half mile up a 6%+ grade to get there. The staff was polite and efficient. Everyone we met at the park was nice. The bathrooms were pretty big, but I'd like if they had a door to close off the bathroom from the outside...
Great campground with fantastic prices and friendly staff. Small game room, hot showers and a pool in the summer. Items available for purchase while I was there in Oct were wood, pumpkins, gourds, eggs, corn stalks, local produce and small selection of snack type items in the office area.
A cute, quiet campground with the friendliest of staff and good prices. Seasonal produce is a bonus, and the playground, pool, and game room will keep the kids busy so you can enjoy yourself grilling or around the fire! A real and quality camping experience all the way around.
This down-to-earth, small campground is just perfect to relax at for a weekend. It's small - only 35 or so sites, so booking early is improtant to get the site type you want, especially for holiday weekends. The office manager and owner work well together, and the new manager new as of last year has done a great job of making the park more quiet and comfortable since he started. He makes the time to chat with campers, and takes their ideas into account when making upgrades each season. New this year are state park quality charcoal grills at the cabins! He's also stocked the office with camping necessities like camp fuel, charcoal, s'mores fixings, tin foil, lighter fluid, and ice. Full disclosure: I'm the manager's sister and ran the park in 2010. He takes pride in his work and it shows :
Tent sites where right up front by the office, pool and bathrooms. Kind of an open field where you picked a spot and put up your tent. I did not use the showers but I would suggest bringing a light. The bathrooms/ showers could use a little more light. Not the best/ cleanest bathrooms in my opinion, but not the worst. Was good enough for my quick stop of less than 12 hrs The campground is at the top of a hill, was paved then turned into a gravel road. Thought we passed the entrance at first and we were going to turn around at the top of the hill when we saw the sign. There was also free WiFi. I did not go further into the campground so I don’t know how the rest of it is
Like some people pointed out already, the staff is usually not at the front desk. Not a big deal, just picked up the phone and called. Had no issues with them at all. The owner was awesome. We had planned on getting a camp site but when we got there they had a cabin available so we took that instead. It was a really nice cabin. Small but nice. Had electric, heat, microwave, and fridge. It was great. We fit 5 adults, although we did have to put an air mattress in their so we all fit. The camp ground itself was really nice for a camp ground. Bathrooms were not bad and the washroom had just been redone. The game room has a pool table! We would certainly go here again. *Side note, Verizon had 4g lte and so did at&t. Sprint didn't fair so well and could only make calls. Was nervous because we had lost cell service for 20 minutes on approach and we were not sure if we would have any once we got to the camp ground.
Beautiful and serene. A great place to spend a fun weekend camping. We loved our cabin. The fridge worked great. Clean bathrooms and showers. Great neighbors
the manager has no people skills at all the pool is green most of the time along with a dumpster by the pool with such wonderful smells you might be into such a thing play ground is so out dated as the campground is sites are in sorts no fresh gravel or just left junk from previous tennents bathrooms are nasty no activities for guests cabins run down will never visit or recommend again i wouldn't wish this place on my wort enemy Playground: old you need a tettnis shot use the playground Restrooms: out dated dirty
