Place sounds good but isn't as good as it sounds. First issue was the fact I can't bring wood, have to buy from the them. All fine should they have kindling to start the fire aswell which they don't. Second issue would be the portable outhouses in the back corner. I came on a Friday which the weekend is most active time for campgrounds so when I walk into the thing on Friday just after check in time I would think it should clean but it was pretty much full already and come Saturday morning it's still full. They need to have those things pumped out more often or place more of them around to equal out to the number of people in the park. Last issue is lack of following the law. Group came in Friday night after final check in time mind you but put up 4 tents on one site which the state law says no more than 2. The people that set up tents are not the issue as they were quite respectful it's the fact they put policies in place and then ignore them. I won't return to this place but I can't say they are horrible as they are not as bad as they could be
Cute little camp ground. Staff is amazing and helpful! Fishing was great for the kiddos. They landed some nice gills and small mouth bass. The beach party was pretty awesome, too.
We got a last minute site here for Memorial day weekend. The owners were AWESOME & more than accommodating. The site was clean, had tons of activities for kids, a chili cook off, fishing, CLEAN bathrooms and showers. Our site was well shaded and roomy. Everyone was friendly & the campsite was located in a good area. We will definitely be back again! 10/10 recommend!
Fun for kids and adults! Dirt sites but we'll laid out! Lots to do. Swimming fun. Fishing. Paddle boats and kayaks. Affordable.
Our family very much enjoyed our time camping, and everyone else seemed to be doing the same. Their Chrismas in July event was a lot of fun! The sites are kept clean and are a good size. The bathroom/shower house is kept very clean. Outhouses are stationed nicely around the grounds and are kept clean. The lake is clean and the beach area and playground are both very nice. A few more picnic tables or benches stationed on the beach area would be nice. The only thing we didn't love was the noise from the highway, but that is out of the campground's control. I'm certain we will camp here again! Restrooms: Kept clean. Plenty of outhouses place around the campground. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly. Folks were good about cleaning up after them.
Check in was easy and office staff was pleasant. The lake setting is very nice but the campsites were very tight to back into, the sites #44, #46 also need some changes made around the fire pit so everyone can sit together. My son in law went to take a shower in the shower house and the shower’s seriously need to be updated. Very uninviting and also went to push the button for water in the shower and there was no water!! Highway sits right next to the campground and is very loud. Stayed for 3 nights and never had any interactions with any staff during our stay.
Amazing family campground! Staff are very friendly. Everything is kept super clean. Beach and playground area are awesome for kids of all ages. We stayed in a sleeping cabin on the lake and it was absolutely perfect! 12/10 would recommend this campground to any family looking for a place to stay. Playground: Fun and unique playground equipment that is well maintained. Restrooms: Very clean and conveniently placed!
Nice place that is kept very clean. The highway can be noticeable but not usually too bad where we were. Good fishing and swimming. Restrooms: The restrooms by the dump station look like they were painted relatively recently. I think the showers would benefit with a shower curtain to prevent water splashing. They are individual shower stalls with locking doors. But people have a tendency to get water everywhere.
I love this place. The owner is very nice! I love camping here. We have been here for 5 years and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Everyone here is very helpful and respectful to all campers. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We always have such a great time! The staff is great and very accommodating. It’s very clean and well kept. We always tent camp and it is one of the best places we have tent camped.
