Spent one night at the campground on a bike tour. Owners are great hosts and have put some really nice work into the place. New shower house is great, nice location right on the lake.
The campground was very clean and the owners were very friendly. The new bathhouse was very high end with Koehler fixtures. I will definitely be back.
Absolutely wonderful owners, well maintained friendly guests ,went there to use the showers ended up staying overnight..they now carry stock from That Flag Guy! If you ever plan a day,or a week in Wisconsin's Great Northwoods this is the place to go,hands down!!!! Playground: Needs some TLC I plan to volunteer next spring and help out some of the most awesome people I've ever met in my 52 trips around the sun! Restrooms: Newly remodeled super clean hot showers could ask more from a campground, Dog-friendliness: I love dogs more than I do most people I meet..kids got to pet a variety here at Hiles
Went to check out Campground. Office person very friendly and informative. Even though prices were fair, as we drove through noticed it was catered more towards seasonals and less regular campers. Never was able to find the non seasonal area. Lakeshore & docks were all boats not much else. Campground looked like a travel trailer parking lot, not much space between trailers. Seasonals blocked the road, so had to wait for them to move their chairs and whatever motorized vehicle they were putting around in.
Excellent campground everybody treats you like family. Inexpensive come meet new friends. Has a boat landing fishing is pretty good. I'm a seasonal camper started out as a 1 week a year now my camper stays there year round come up whenever I want.
A beautiful relaxing setting with lake frontage and piers. Lots of mature pine trees and a park like open area where we walked our dogs. We paddle boarded and swam in the lake and had a great time. The showers were very clean and convenient. The owners went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this campground.
Sites are really tight, mold on the inside of shower curtains, no one in office/store from 2pm-9pm, almost $50 a night, not even allowed to walk on all 3 docks. BUT owner did come out to check on us after he got message and was very nice, new owners, they were working on cleaning up stumps and trees, most site do have direct water hook up and can pay to dock a boat. HONEST review here. *new* we did not have to be seen about paying our bill, they hada card on file and charged it nightly..yes it was very convenient. The campground and lake are still really beautiful.
I had a very nice view of the lake & the seasonal people treat ya like you camp here all the time.
Outstanding staff. I would recommend this camp grounds for the whole family. Clean, safe and affordable.
We felt as if we were family since the day we found this place. There are a lot of seasonal campers here but still quite a bit of space for the weekend campers. The seasonal campers treat you as if you are one of them. The owners and seasonal campers were all very friendly. Family friendly as well. We had such a nice time here. Older facilities but kept up very well. The "game room" is a pool table and older games in their garage. Very clean and well kept as well. Office sells quite a few grocery items - the basics plus some food items and ice cream as well. The hot water was wonky in the shower house - my daughter and I were fighting for hot water during our showers - but can't complain about a getting a shower while camping. This is a really nice, huge lake for fishing but we wouldn't recommend it for an inboard boat or tubing/skiing due to it being shallow, mucky and weedy. All in all, despite the lake bummer, we will be frequenting this place quite a bit.
