I was only there for a short outpatient procedure of a cortisone injection in my lower back, but both experiences were wonderful. The staff was very professional yet kind and compassionate. I'm a senior citizen who just moved into town last year and I'm so glad to have such a competent hospital this close! So yes, you get five stars!!
I only leave a 4 star review because I have no insurance and can't afford to get any right now... But the nurses and doctor's treated me really good and made me feel comfortable!!!! Even though I have what they call white coat syndrome!!! They did the best they could to keep me calm and for that reason I am very thankful!!!!
The Claremore Pulmonary Respiratory Therapists are a wonderful, dedicated group of people who care deeply about their patients. They realize every patient is unique and requires a special approach. Never frustrated or abrasive they help us each get the most out of our sessions. As an amputee on oxygen I am grateful to have found them.
I was really impressed by how thorough the ER doctor and nursing staff were. I never go to the doctor so they had no background information on me but they took the time to check all possible sources for the issue I was having. All of the nurses listened to what I was saying without being dismissive or making me feel ignorant as well. It was nice to feel heard and taken care of in such an uncertain and painful physical situation.
We went Sunday Jan. 15th for an ER visit. From the patient access rep to the nurse practitioner, everyone was kind and understanding. They helped my kiddo get the care he needed. They were awesome with him, too, since he was a little apprehensive. Thank you Hillcrest.
I was very disappointed. I was diagnosed with pneumonia my lung was half full by my local urgent care who took a chest xray to confirm the diagnosis along with a covid & flu test both came back negative. Anyways, my Dr STRONGLY advised me to go to the hospital also being concerned w/ the fact that I have chronic asthma and get urgent treatment. I was very aware of the fact that the ER was very full w/other patients & that I might have to wait a while to be seen I waited 3 hrs. However, never having pneumonia before, I was in a lot of pain, chilling from fever which my temperature was Never taken, it obviously was hard to breathe, not to mention I was scared. I asked for a blanket & was never given one. The Triage nurses lost my forms that had my Covid, Flu, and Chest xrays results. They also started an IV needle in my arm, but nothing was ever started through my IV. The nurse who put the IV port in my arm was rushing so much that there was almost no care taken while inserting the port. When I was finally taken back into a room, I was still without a blanket and at this point I was in tears because I was so cold and in so much pain, the nurses hooked me up to a BP cuff and O2 monitor, asked me what was going on, then left the room. About 20 min later, I told my husband to ask the nurse if I could use the bathroom, "yeah she can use the bathroom." Well, I was hooked up to the monitors so...I wasn't sure how they expected me to do that, my husband had to remind them. Like they had forgotten that I was hooked up to monitors! The xray tech she was very nice & was the only one who gave me a blanket came, took me to get xray, then brought me back to the room to wait for the Dr. At the end of this... I was basically given an option: To either stay or go home... The way she said this, was "well, since you're just in tears right now..." I felt like b/c I was crying from such discomfort & fear she made me feel like I was overreacting and that I in no danger whatsoever. I was DONE at this point. 1. Nothing was explained to me or my husband about my diagnosis. 2. No instructions on what over the counter medications I should not take, what foods to keep away from, etc... 3. Being told repeatedly that I was chilling very badly and in a lot of pain, went ignored. 4. I was NEVER hooked up to an IV Drip as my Dr who sent me there advised to have administered. 5. The treating physician left without even telling us ANYTHING! I've worked in the medical field for 10 years, I am very much aware how things go on busy days/nights. However, that kind of treatment is completely unacceptable! I do not think I will be going back, nor recommending anyone to this facility anytime soon. Something must change.
If I can give a 0 I would I was put in the system as being in a room and I sat in the waiting room for a hour after being taken to a treatment room to be checked in. I had to go to the desk and ask about being seen. Then a nurse that released me had the guts to ask how I still have a job after all the time off work I had in the past and asked what I do and where I work at I may never come back. I want the er manager to call me

Very nice and kind ladies in the back. Gentle and they answered my questions. I have used this facility for my Mammograms and other tests for years and I have always been happy. I never think of another facility for mine or my family's needs.
