Caring and attentive staff great communication with family to facilitate patient care. Nurses, caregivers, therapist all skilled and professional. We have had very successful experiences here
I have been contracted to work in this building for about a month, now... This place is lovely. The staff are all so warm and pleasant and welcoming. Everyone is always working hard and always doing their very best to meet the patient/resident needs. The communication among staff is great! The overall feeling in the building is friendly and compassionate. I would definitely recommend a friend or family member stay here, or would stay here myself, if the medical need arose. 10/10!
As of 5/25/2023 some of the patients of this place became infected with Covid in the last 5 days while staying here.
My mom was a resident at this location. The staff worked very diligently to make my mom comfortable and to meet all her needs. She was able to shorten her stay due to the quick progress she made with therapy. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this facility to others.
Such a fun and exciting staff! The atmosphere and vibe is great. Highly recommend!
The people working at the center are extremely helpful and nice. The only problem i have are not the centers fault, but they are caused by the covid virus that has kept us all separated. Otherwise it has been a good time getting lots of rest and working with the therapist to strengthen my muscles. If I had to, I wouldn't mind coming back for more treatments.
This facility resulted in a nightmare experience the family will not soon forget. There is not enough staff to respond to the care that is needed so people sit and wait in terrible pain and without help. The staff is new and inexperienced or can’t get a job elsewhere. Unprofessional to a degree of shocking. I simply asked why my mother was being left to suffer for so long and was told by a nurse that I had no respect to ask her a question like this, that she didn’t have time to deal with it and that she didn’t care if I took my mom somewhere else. I met with all of the head managers and the social worker who claimed that this was not the way they ran their facility and that they were horrified that my mom suffered so much. In the end, the card continued status quo. The doctor that over seen the patients refused to honor my mothers Neurosurgeons order to increase meds if pain was out of control. The facility smells like a cat box, has very old and broken equipment. Lastly, upon discharge the head nurse sent my mother with a photo copy of a prescription to fill at a pharmacy. No pharmacy will fill a new prescription that is a photocopy, especially it is it a controlled medication! Then she was just out of luck. We had to send an urgent message to her Neurosurgeon because she was left with only 2 days of meds. The nurse insisted that I accept her apology saying she didn’t know. It has been this way for decades. Do not bring a loved one to this place, you will regret it.
EmpRes has done an outstanding job of protecting their staff and residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. They provided N95 masks and strict screening protocol from the beginning, and have acquired UV-C lights to sanitize our circulating air and rooms before patients arrive. Thanks for putting people first!
I am the Manager of the housekeeping department now, however I worked as a CNA in this building a few years ago. The feeling of family and friends is definitely present. By far a wonderful community!
I feel like Empres and all the dedicated staff at Empres Hillsboro has gone above and beyond to protect residents/patients and staff form covid-19. This is so important as I feel like they are part of my extended family. Times are tough healthcare is tough and I appreciate the level of protection that has been provided.
