Don’t expect your room to get cleaned. Don’t expect clean towels. They allowed housekeeping to be off due to a holiday weekend. My family and I utilized the pool and we were not able to get clean towels or pool towels. We had to walk to our rooms soaked. Besides that, Alex and the breakfast attendant along with the chef were really nice.Rooms: 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel that is extremely clean. Very kind staff especially the bartender/ kitchen personnel. Front desk lady was extremely nice checking in. Well decorated but outside of the hotel not much around his area for food. No problem though this is a great place to stayRooms: 5/5
The hotel personnel were amazing. They were very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the building itself seems to be suffering from some structural issues. There was a large dip in the middle of the floor of our room, and the floor of the bathroom was so off level that the toilet lid would not stay up and the sliding door for the shower would not stay closed. We at breakfast at the hotel "restaurant," but we would have been better off eating somewhere else. There was not a free breakfast provided, and we would have had no issue with paying for a decent meal, but the food was the exact same fare that we would have gotten for free at any other hotel in the area. It was also annoying that breakfast was served an hour later on Saturday than on Friday. We did appreciate the fact that the clientele at this hotel are mostly business leaders as opposed to vacationers. The hallways were very quiet, and we did not have any disturbances during the night. Overall, it was a good stay, but I don't think we'll be back given the structural problems and the lack of a real restaurant. EDIT: Hilton replied to this review with a request for more information. I followed their link, and submitted the information that they requested, but I have never heard anything back from them. I was expecting them to at least offer some extra points in my account. I have no idea if they are even addressing the structural issues that I mentioned. I am lowering the review by one star due to the poor response from Hilton.
Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. David the bartender was exceptional and made our stay enjoyable. Some of the furnishings were a little broken down but everything was clean and to me that is most important. Food was ok but nothing exceptional.Rooms: 4/5
I was a guest at this hotel the week before Christmas, while visiting my son and his family for the holidays. My room and the extremely friendly staff was fantastic! However, my only complaint was the absence of festive Christmas decorations. Upon arrival and checking in, I was extremely disappointed that the hotel of this caliber was not decorated for the holidays. Please decorate for the holidays!!!
Great hotel the location is isolated which makes it very quiet. Only downside was the bar was close due to staff shortage. But no biggie. Clean rooms comfy bed smooth overall stay.
What could have turned out to be a miserable and terrible stay ended up turning around to be the one of the best stays I've had at a Hilton property to date. After a friendly chat and being checked in by the General Manager, Race, I noticed that one of the televisions in my room was not turning on. When I went downstairs, there was a young lady who suggested that it could be the batteries being dead. I tried that and that didn't work either. I went back downstairs and Race was there. I explained to him the situation and he reported it and mentioned that a maintenance technician will visit my room in the next hour or so. I felt like it really wasn't a big deal so I continued on my day and joined a conference call for work. Before the call started, I placed my puppy in his crate but in the bedroom of the suite and closed the door to that room. Unbeknownst to me, the door locked and after my call, I couldn't open the door. I went downstairs to explain everything to Race and within 5 minutes, his maintenance technician, Chevis came to the rescue. First, he helped get my puppy out of the bedroom and even he was barking up a storm! Then, he figured out the issue with the television in the living room not working and reported back 10 minutes later to fix it. All in all, I really appreciated how Race and Chevis handled my issues accordingly. It made my stay a fantastic one!
This hotel is beautiful and in a quiet area. When we arrived and checked in, there was an issue with our room. Nelson at the front desk accommodated us quickly and made sure we were comfortable for our stay. The breakfast had many options and we were very pleased. Kelsey and the main cook were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Their hospitality made celebrating our special occasion an even more joyous event. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Great customer service. Clean room. Wonderful, central location. Parking lot fully lit and safe. If ever in Birmingham again, will definitely stay here. An aside, the hallways and elevators are very warm and humid. Definitely a turnoff, as was trying to get the room cool enough. We were told this was due to a new system installed that pulls air from the outside - not great when it's July in Alabama! Overall, though, very pleased!!!
This place was GROSS. The first room had a loose fitted sheet, luckily, which pulled back to reveal a huge, brown stain that had just been left wet when the bed was last made. We were given a new room, this time with clean beds, but the shower has was non-functional and an attempt at using the tub resulted in the appearance of giant, floating hairballs the size of hamsters. It was revolting. Hands down the worst experience I've had at a Hilton property in my life.
