Hilton Head Social Bakery is now open! We have of variety of classic American-style baked goods with a twist of French Flair. Located in Shelter Cove, customers can enjoy quaint, outdoor seating with beautiful waterfront views overlooking the harbor.
Hilton Head Social Bakery will display a perfect selection of savory pastries, like Brioche, warm flaky croissants, artisan breads, specialty custom-order cakes, and chocolates as well as Gluten-free and Vegan products. The bakery will offer a convenient, open style coffee bar with Fair trade- organic coffee, and tea. Pastry chef Youseff Samba prides himself in handcrafting healthy, all-natural baked goods made fresh daily.
The bakery is locally owned by award winning chef Philippe Feret from Manhattan, who was previously the executive chef of the renowned “Windows On The World” (Twin Towers) Restaurant , Tavern On The Green, The Regency Hotel, and many others. “We are here to make Hilton Head Social Bakery a perfect spot for friends, family and visitors on this beautiful Island” Says Chef Philippe Feret. “We love the people here in Hilton Head, everyone has been so kind and welcoming… and I am looking forward to being a part of this community”. Mr. Feret is originally from Normandy France, and grew up working in his father’s bakery in Paris. He continues his passion in the food and restaurant business along with his partner Marissa Bumpus.
Hilton Head Social Bakery expresses a warm atmosphere with contemporary, rustic décor with wall paneling and woodwork crafted from reclaimed American Chestnut barn wood from the mid 1800’s. A delight for history buffs, who will find an interesting display of bakery antiques, original hardwood flooring salvaged from the home of JP Morgan, and decorative hardware such as knobs made our of bolts and nuts used for the construction of bridges around Manhattan.
