Sweet Carolina Cupcakes is an ideal as much as a person.
The ideal of Sweet Carolina is a pleasant southern breeze as sweet and warm as a cupcake fresh from the oven.
The personal component is me: Holly Slayton. I'm a mother, a daughter, and a granddaughter. I learned from the best: my Mother, a professional businesswoman, and my Grandmother, a professional grandmother.
Using experiences that I gained from both of these great women, in 2008 I launched my dream. Armed with a treasure trove of my Grandmother's time-tested recipes, the experience of countless hours at her side in the kitchen, the encouragement and business acumen of my Mother, and about $60 in my bank account, I began baking cupcakes.
Since then, we have grown each year. Some days are pure joy, some days I think about getting a real job. I love every minute of it. I am in the kitchen every day, along with my dynamite team, to ensure that Sweet Carolina Cupcakes creates the finest cupcakes, whoopie pies, wedding cakes, and desserts around.
