This was one of the BEST Chinese Restaurant/Buffet places I have ever visited!! It's not your typical "Chinese Buffet Restaurant" with the 6-10 tables of food to choose from, there's only one simple hot bar, one salad bar, one dessert bar with an Ice Cream machine and toppings. But I assure you the simplicity of the design has no effect on the taste, preparation or amount of food you receive! I found that with "less" food offered, the quality and freshness was much greater! And i have to mention that they have several offerings that you do not typically find at other Buffet type establishments, although it's only one bar of hot dishes you have 12-15 different offerings, they are refilled fresh at a very constant pace I noticed as well. They also offer a full menu other than the Buffet and the service was wonderful! They even make their own homemade Duck Sauce available upon request at no additional charge. They offer greatly flavored dishes, as much as you'd like with a gracious smile! The restaurant was clean, the restrooms were clean and well stocked and the hostess/cashier was very friendly. We will definitely be visiting this establishment when we are in the area again. If you are in this area, you should definitely give them a try!
First Time here and I got to say was food very good! Went in around 6pm so everything in the buffet was fresh, the waiter was on top of his game, my cup never went dry! Oh The duck sauce was the best I ever had. Right now its my favorite Chinese food place in Rocky Mount!Food: 5/5
The food was very old and dry, they charge $18.75 per person and there was barley any food options to choose from. They also charge you extra money on top of that $18.75 for any food that you do not eat! Oh yeah the shrimp was so dirty there was soooo much poop in it. I definitely don’t recommend this place literally needs to be shut down.
My spouse and I had one of the best experiences at this restaurant. It exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting with a mellow jazz sound. The hostess was warm and very attentive to questions. She treated ‘us’ out of towners as if we were natives. There were recommendations based on our pallets. Also, while waiting, she served us hot tea and lemonade for my spouse. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We were very pleased. If you are in the area and searching for a good Chinese restaurant, check it out. You won’t be disappointed! We will visit again!
We enjoyed this buffet. We went with a large party and they treated us great. The food was was tasty. The only complaint I have is they had groups packed in back room it got very loud. We still had a fantastic time there.Food: 5/5
I placed a pick up order online that got delayed and the kitchen was backed up at the time. I was givensome yummy tempura green beans and the most delicious lemonade I've ever tasted, on the house, to snack on while I waited even though the restaurant was not at any fault for my wait. The woman at the front was very gracious and sweeter than the lemonade and I noticed the waitresses were working quickly and courteously for the other guests. This was a wonderful take-out experience, I can't wait to have a dine-in experience soon. Thank you!!
The food was pretty good for a buffet. My husband and I could not believe it cost about $60! We are both small in stature and do not eat a lot. Will definitely not be going back. Is a great place to go if you can eat $30 worth of Chinese. There were no refills on our drinks. Staff was so busy they could not help.Food: 4/5
We went this week for dinner it's the best food and very friendly service they make us feel like family. We love this place it's the best Chinese food in town with a wonderful clean atmosphere they have tables and booths which our favorite is the booths it so quite and relaxing! May God's blessings always be upon this Restaurant. Vegetarian options: Some wonderful options to choose from. Parking: Parking is very convenient.
The BEST Chinese buffet we’ve had since we moved to North Carolina!!!!! This is a quiet little buffet but the food tastes amazing. I ate so much I couldn’t eat anymore food. Their homemade duck sauce is to die for. The kids and my husband loved it too. The service was quick and great! As soon as the cup was empty or almost empty she filled it. We ask for napkins and she brought them immediately. They have nice decor as well. They have cakes and ice cream for dessert. We will definitely be back for more!
I am so sad that I do not live close enough to eat here on a regular basis! I have always loved Hing Ta. It reminds me of the fabulous Chinese food we used to be able to get in the 80's. Do yourself a favor and order from the menu for a dining "experience" versus the now standard practice of always eating Chinese food from a buffet bar. Don't get me wrong, there is not one thing wrong with their buffet, but it is rare to be able to order beautiful, freshly prepared dishes anymore and this is one place where you still can.
