The Hal Moore exhibition is worth going to see. Check out my photos. A true American hero and role model for anyone desiring a path of exceptional achievement. My only criticism - no discount for veterans or seniors.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
For what it is, it's awesome. The museum is smaller than a typical museum but the biggest confederate museum I've ever seen. The tiny town out back is something special for sure.
What a great place, so much history! Alot of great displays with plenty of artifacts. Then you can go outside to the little village, real cabins that you can go into and check out some more history. They also have two more museums up the street but we were running out of time and were unable to check them out. But your ticket is good for 2 days, we will definitely go back to check out the rest.
Amazing original buildings are well worth a visit. The museum caretaker Kenny was very helpful and knowledgeable. One tavern is as early as the 1790s. The log cabin seminary, the first established west of the Alleghany mtns, is moving due to it's simplicity.
Nice museum. Displays are well done and they have some very historic artifacts.
This was so much fun! THe kids loved it as well. Being outside and able to roam around and discover what is inside the cabins. Old trades were shown and some history about local native americans. Nice short walk, it has a ramp if you cannot do stairs!
Civil War Museum was very nice. It's a self-guided tour with most antiques nicely displayed in large glass cases, many tall enough for a human. The day we were there, a living history reenactor was there to show and tell many items of the period. He was very knowledgeable and related well with people. The Pioneer Village has some interesting cabins with a paved path. The day we were there, reenactors were supposed to be there until 5 pm. However, we went at 3 pm and the Village was empty with a few cabins open, disappointing. Interest in frontier life is better served at Old Fort Harrod or Fort Boonsboro.
Enjoyed seeing the Old Bardstown village. One ticket paid for this adventure as well as three other museums. Definitely worth it!
Lots of history! I'm not a history buff but found a lot of things interesting. Some of the items on display were over 100 yrs old! There was a replica of the gun that killed Abraham on display. Another bonus was we got access to 4 museums for 1 low price.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
They have a massive museum. Sadly we didn't have time to check it out but will be back to finish it. The little village with all the historical artifacts and knowledge was pretty cool. Just be careful if ya take the handicap ramp, some of the wood feels a little fragile.
