Some of the best guest services I've experienced. These people go above and beyond to please. Location is ideal for exploring the town. My room was a little dated. Ask about the "view" before you book. Bed was comfy... room was clean.Rooms: 4/5
I stayed here with my sister for her birthday. Its located in the perfect spot!! We walked around to all the small shops and really enjoyed our time. The beds are comfy and the entire place is super clean! The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and breakfast was amazing. Will definitely stay again!
Had lunch there. Enjoyed sandwiches. Ice tea was good. Spoonbread is a salty cornbread mush but seem to be very proud of it. Service is slow so be prepared for a wait having your order taken, getting your food and Bill. Our waiter was nice but obviously new. The hostess was really good, saw us with not even water after 20 minutes and got it for us. The manager of the Frost Cafe, a quick stop in that's part of the hotel, made our reservation for us when no one was at the restaurant the day before. Very nice and helpful.
We only ate at the restaurant, and it was very nice. Spoon Bread is quite tasty, but not as good as the hype around it, but it's definitely worth a try, since one serving per person is free. My husband had the hot brown & loved it. I had Blueberry pancakes, and they were very fluffy and tasty. I wouldn't complain if they added a few more blueberries. We will be back! What an experience to stay in this fantastic old hotel. Our room was immaculate and so very comfortable, but we spent most of our time sitting on the veranda sipping on beverages from the cafe. We also had a delicious dinner in the restaurant where every single dish was like an art exhibit. The staff at the front desk were helpful giving us advice on which galleries in town would match what our wants and needs were. We were on the second floor of the hotel and spent several hours in a comfortable lounge enjoying the quiet and peace of the hotel.
Nice historical venue, we stayed one night on our way to Tennessee. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Associates were all friendly and helpful. Boone Tavern food was good, however, didn't care for the spoon bread that was given at the beginning. Walkability: Nice town to walk around and visit the nearby local shops.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Boone Tavern. It’s out of a bygone era. The building and rooms are lovely. The staff is gracious. The location is perfect - literally steps from fun shops and an easy walk to the main artisan area near the train station welcome center. Highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
The Historic Boone Tavern is a wonderful place to stay in Berea. The atmosphere and service is 1st rate. The king room had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The bathroom was large, but the sink vanity was small. There was a refrigerator in the room, but the microwave was at the front desk. No stay is complete without dining in the restaurant. We opted for the breakfast vouchers, a $30 voucher for $20, a great bargin. But our favorite area of the hotel had to be the veranda, although at times it could be loud from the traffic it was very relaxing to just sit out and enjoy the evening!
We dined at Boone Tavern, where we were served by Olivia. She attended to us warmly and with great care. At her recommendation, we enjoyed wonderfully elegant flavored teas with our meal. Dessert was outstanding and elegantly plated. Such a delicious treat to dine there for lunch today! It was like taking a step back in history!!Service: 5/5
Nice historic hotel. Staff are friendly enough and rooms were clean. Due to the building being old it does creek and the walls a little thin. Stayed one night and it was good. Could use some minor bathroom updates and the elevator panel was slightly busted but nothing detrimental.Rooms: 4/5
