Hobo Junction

We came after breakfast hours, but the waitress was able to score us some biscuits and gravy and it was so good! The pork fried steak with brown gravy was pretty good also, and I really loved the Texas toast. The customer service was great, our server was friendly and went the extra mile for us. Didn't check out the bathroom though.

My first time. I didn't realize until a friend told me recently that this place was still open. I guess I always went by after 2 when they close. So today I made it a point to stop by. You are greeted first with a parking lot full of cars. Then I see a shack. Hobo junction. I go in and the waitress is super nice and attentive. I order the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans, and it was great. Quite the treat and a large portion. I think the bill was 11.63 plus tip. They dont let you leave hungry. I will keep.going back. And the fun part is at one point a train came by, horn blowing and the building shook. Cool!

Truly fantastic down home classics! ! The pickle chips are sour and very crunchy. The mashed potatoes are creamy and homemade. And the chicken fried steak is the best I have had anywhere in years. Years! If you are in Liberty Hill, you owe it to yourself to give them a try!

Had the catfish and wife had the chicken fried steak. Peach cobbler for dessert and it was all amazing. Great down home cooking.

Great breakfast place! The portions are huge, so come hungry! I highly recommend the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and the Hobo breakfast taco.

My wife and I loved Hobo Depot. Huge portions, fair pricing and good service. Local vibe. Hope to come back.

Literally one of the best Restaurant experiences in my life. The breakfast taco was seriously one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. Nice and simple, but a bountiful amount of flavor. Everyone patronize this place, it needs to be here forever.

Our first visit was exceptional. The staff was courteous and attentive. A good variety of food on the menu reflected its southern roots. The size and quality of my Philly cheese was perfect and quite a deal for the money. Next time I'll get the catfish and fried okra that my friend spoke so highly about. The girls couldn't quite finish their hobo burger or chicken fried chicken but were complimentary of the chef. If you like good country cooking you'll love this place. We'll be back for sure.

Absolutely love going here! Great food! My favorite is their breakfast tacos!!! I’d eat one every morning if I could. The staff is so awesome, when your a regular customer like I am they treat you like family! Definitely worth going to!
