We design and build simple and functional furniture.
Holdfast Wood Company was established in late 2012 with the ambitions to design and build furniture specifically using reclaimed materials. We feel that by using reclaimed wood and metal it gives the pieces that we build a very raw and vintage look that cant be replicated by a machine in a factory somewhere. Each piece is unique, uncomplicated, and completely functional in job its made for. The materials we most typically use are shipping pallets, wood from abandoned or condemned barns, wood deemed unusable by lumber yards, and scrap pieces of metal we buy from junk yards and other various places.
We also feel by reusing these materials we are promoting sustainability and inspiring others to get their hands dirty and create something out of nothing.
