Many computers, so no wait, 24inch monitors, tons of new dads even ps4 an Xbox games. Love the historic section,dying also. Great staff
Events all week every week. Friendly helpful staff. Great movie selection. We go 3 to 4 times a week. Love it!
Most staff is very friendly and helpful. Children's area consists of computers and a car table. They offer story time Wednesday for babies and Thursday for all ages. They also offer weekly crafts for kids, teens, and adults My older child always enjoys her time at the library. Overall we enjoy this library!
I always enjoy going to this particular library. Clean, organized & well lit with knowledgeable, friendly staff. LARGE Selection of DVDs + books to borrow/take home. They offer a Self Checkout area if you are in a hurry & AFTER HOURS Drop boxes out front for returns.
Very nice staff, great atmosphere
My daughter did the paint pouring activity for teens today, had a blast! The Teen group leaders were well organized and engaged in conversation with everyone participant!
The guy “hollis” mentioned by another reviewer kind of looks down on patrons. Not sure he’s the manager.. I didn’t like that guy. We were chatting a little bit while he checked for a book and he kept looking at me weird. Hollis also asked me “You have a job anywhere?” I know it seems like a small thing but when you phrase things like that, it seems like your trying to say “you look like you don’t work.” Or something. He could have easily just asked “Where do you work?” Other library staff seem really helpful and are very nice.
They let me pin my quilt on 1 of their tables. The table was nice and big.
This is my favorite library in Roanoke! They seem to have the largest collection of books compared to other libraries, so i rarely have issues finding the books i want. The parking lot is huge, staff members are friendly and it's quiet and clean.
Brought my grandmother to this library and one of the staff at this Hollins Library asked me "why are you making your grandmother sit there while you play computer games"? I was helping her update things on several of her accounts. Very disrespectful and keep your nose out of people's business. I don't even play computer games.
