The Hollywood Theatre will be the Vancouver’s West Side cultural hub where social bonds are forged and treasured memories will continue to be created. We will energize the neighbourhood by creating a space for the enjoyment and creation of the arts.
Our programming will be multi-dimensional and will include independent film screenings, musical performances from a wide spectrum of music genres, fine art performances, live theatre, comedy, film premieres, festival events, educational events, technical seminars and lectures as well as providing room availability and access for events dedicated to fundraising, building-strength-in-community events, trade symposiums, non-profit organizations, as well as all-ages and free events.
We will re-introduce The Hollywood Theatre back into Vancouver’s consciousness by creating and operating a beautifully renovated, state-of-the-art performing arts centre dedicated to bringing the creative arts to the local community.
As well as live entertainment ticketed events such as live music performances, live theatre, movie screenings, tech events and corporate and private functions we welcome local community producers, non-profit organizations and special interest groups wishing to hold their event at the Hollywood Theatre. This will also include hosting special free-to-the public events produced by local producers.
We believe the Hollywood Theatre is an important cultural landmark on the West Side of Vancouver, one that should be operating on the West Broadway corridor. We believe there has truly been a void left in the area when it comes to programming of diverse cultural events such as live music performances, live theatre, movies, cultural events and fundraisers. It is our goal to provide a facility with open doors for both artisans and the community to enjoy.
