Beautiful state park with lots to do. We enjoy coming here. They have a nice crabbing/fishing pier. Only downside is all the large crab pots that are tied off the pier in the way. Large playground area for the small ones with charcoal grilling and pavilion.. Restrooms were clean. They have a large field with soccer Nets. They also have a pay meter that accepts credit cards only if there is no one in the booth. It is $4 for all day residents and $8 all day non-residents. Boat launch area is nice and convenient, they have two slips which can get quite busy depending on time of day. If you plan on going near the little beached areas be sure to bring bug spray or you will get eaten alive. My only complaint, which is not the parks fault is people that are disrespectful to others. If you have a truck with a tailgate that does not have a lock please beware of the people that will open your closed tailgate to throw "their trash" into your vehicle. It unfortunately happend to us. It's a carry in and carry out park. Let's do better people.
A park located by the bay. Offers a playground for kids, walking paths and a place to unload your boat into the bay. Most of the paths wind through dense trees. Tall pine trees drop lots of needles causing some designated paths to blend into nature - causing some confusion as to where to walk. The park also provided restrooms and a place to kayak. Lots of parking. Fun to visit.
A great easy hiking/biking traiil. Wear long pants to protect against ticks. Very few people on the trail. Cool on a hot summer summer day. Quite a few friendly people on a superb fishing pier.
Beautiful state park! Great little kids playground tucked away in the shade hard to find shady playgrounds . Our dog loved sniffing around and exploring here. We'll be back to fish here sometime soon and walk the trails. Holts Landing is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Be sure to bring your trash with you as the park policy is to take out anything you brought in.
This is my first time here. I really love this park. The trail is so beautiful and peaceful. The view of the water is also relaxing. The trail I took was 1.72 miles, much longer than I thought. My girls did well!! It's $8 for put of state and $5 for in state visitors. There is a pay machine at one end of the parking lot by the canoe launch. I came in Oct and not sure if other people paid, but I before park entrance fee applies to all year round.
My biking destination from Harrington to get a picture of the Marsh Boardwalk for the Delaware State Park Passport contest. Beside a great ride stopping at Trap Pond, I took a number of pictures of the bay with white caps breaking from the stiff breeze blowing off the ocean. Plan to come back and bike the great trails with my hybrid.
Great place for a wonderful walk and wildlife watching. There's a playground for kids. You can launch a boat and also a good entrance into the water for kayaks.
Great place to walk around and explore, trails r pretty good, was little difficult for my 5 year old though. Awesome for picnic, or just hanging out outdoors and do some fishing or crabbing
Wonderful forest park for quiet walks with several ponds and a bay view. We have been walking 4 to 6 days a week for the last 7 months during Covid. Every day I feel as though I am someplace far away and not just trapped at home. The trails are wide enough to pass safely. Various birds and sometimes deer show themselves
Great park with a terrific walking trail. There's a boat ramp and campsites. The playground is really nice featuring 2 slides. Even a spot to charge the Tesla.
