Holy Cross Cemetery has deep roots in Pomona. It was founded in 1886 as the parish cemetery of historic St. Joseph Church.

Description

The property includes forty acres, of which only seventeen are currently undeveloped. It is easily accessed, occupying both sides of Lexington Avenue.

The Cemetery is an oasis of serenity, its walks lined with trees and statuary. It is at once traditional and modern, one of the oldest of the large Catholic cemeteries in Southern California — and yet added to the system of Archdiocesan cemeteries as late as 1967.

I have alot of family here ....miss u so much Dad
It’s absurd how you can own property here and they won’t let you do a little something for your deceased loved one. Not a priest or any music that because people don’t like it. Why say the property is yours and your not allowed to do anything with all their absurd rules. Kids are not even allow to walk around the cemetery because they act like they digging up bodies. I regret burying my husband here.
My father is buried here. Its a nice cemetery. The only thing that bothers me is when i go visit and there are "tire marks" across my fathers headstone. Staff was very nice and caring and helped me locate my uncle who is across the street from my dad.
My Only Thing is this!!! This is a Beautiful Place!!! I don’t want it looking like A run down place with street vendors and Now Trash!!!! If your going to picnic simply bring your own food; I don’t want to see a line of people as I drive in::: Tacky, This is Not the Place and Never the time!!! It’s not a Swampmeet!!!!
Such a beautiful cemetery with excellent service. It was a rainy day today, but the staff was very nice and helpful in making sure my uncle found his place to Rest In Peace. Thank you Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery for all you do!
We buried my mother there on the 4th. This was where she had purchased her plots many years ago. BUT I will never forget how cold hearted the staff was, especially security that day. Most heart breaking and most awful experience of my life with a cemetery. Im so sorry mom.

My own experience with this cemetery was terrible. Heartlessness of the staff on June 4th is unfortunate and unforgettable.
I like visiting dad here because it's peaceful and I don't regret this place for him. I like how it looks.
