Home 2 Suites Olive Branch

This place is honestly atrocious. The clientele are questionable. The staff is unresponsive. The facilities from what I saw are run down. The rooms are dirty. Housekeeping is a major concern heard another customer complaining about their room being dirty while I was waiting. They gave me keys to a dirty room that had not been cleaned. Seriously. Unmade beds and towels strewn around the room. Reeked of smoke. The entire hotel smells of smoke. When I went back to the front desk to get another room, they were having problems with their system. After waiting almost an hour without getting a new room, I finally left and found a room elsewhere, which was a blessing! The front desk staff is not service-minded at all neither is the manager, and took no ownership for giving me a dirty room or for my having to wait as long as I did, after a long day of travel. Not apologetic or empathetic. No sense of urgency. Uncommunicative. They also charged me for the night I didn't stay there, despite assuring me they would not. It took me FOREVER to get a human to answer the phone to credit the room back. Just stay away. Seriously, the neighboring hotel is miles above this place both in terms of how customers are treated and their facilities. And I agree with other reviewers that there is no WAY this a 3 star hotel. 1 at best. It's bad!

While the building and rooms seem in need of an update, I've stayed in many places with amenities in far worse condition that charged more per night. The service was excellent. They had 4 rooms with AC go out and asked us if we would take a different type of room almost exactly the same as what we reserved for a slightly cheaper rate. Everyone from the staff we encountered was exceptionally professional and polite. The location is decent enough being a short drive from various amenities and walking distance from a Mexican restaurant with great margaritas Casa Mexicana. Food & drinks: No drinks are served here in the evening. Breakfast is decent with hot sandwiches, cereal, almond milk, Greek yogurt and bagels. They have waffles, but multiple people said although they smelled good the taste was terrible. If you want dinner. Various meal delivery apps offer a variety of options. There's an Applebee's and an excellent Mexican restaurant within walking distance although the rest of our team said the Applebee's was not great.

Good location, but had a few issues. We stay at Home2 Suites often for my daughter’s birthday, however this is my first time at the Olive Branch location. I chose to go here instead of Cordova due to the amount of crime that occurs in that area. I Tried to check in AT 3pm because that’s the normal check in time and was told I couldn’t because my room wasn’t clean. My bed sheets had blood stains on them as well as the couch. The bar in the bathroom was broken in the shower. No one was answered the front desk phone three times that I called. I had to leave my room to go downstairs to get fresh towels. We were kicked out of the pool at 10 instead of 12 when the sign said that it closed. The front desk concierge was not very welcoming at all. Will not use this location again honestly.

I will not return. The Home2 Suites in Southaven was great, the one in Olive Branch...not so much. Despite twice requesting that housekeeping reset the room during my 10 day visit, they couldn't be bothered. The TV in my room didn't work, was told five times that maintenance would look into it but it was never fixed. Every single carpet in the hotel has a stain. The free breakfast was burned every morning. The staff was rude and dismissive at every interaction with their one word answers, eye rolling and sometimes refused to acknowledge my presence. Half of my interactions with the staff I was wearing my USAF uniform. I'm left to believe that either they don't like the military or they don't like my skin color. You be the judge.

The rooms usually smell like someone just finished smoking in them even though the whole building is non-smoking. They are pet friendly but some of the rooms also smell like cat pee. I mostly stay here because the location is good.

I spend 3-4 nights a week in hotels as part of my job, and this has to be one of the worst places I’ve stayed in the last decade. The location is fine, it has a decent gym and free breakfast, but this place is DIRTY. Even if you try to ignore it, the smell of mold slapped us in the face as we entered it room, and it’s verified by obvious black mold spots on the AC vents. It’s also obvious that it’s not “cleaned” very often, as we couldn’t find a clean glass, plate, or silverware. We ended up using paper plates and plastic utensils. Also, there were no forks provided. Crumbs everywhere; on the floor and in the drawers. I kept trying to give the place a chance but it was disappointing in every way. Cold coffee in the morning right as breakfast started was the last straw. Stay away from this place.

Whenever we can’t stay with family when we’re in town, this hotel used to be our #1 go to! Stayed part of this past week until 7/4. Worst experience ever!!! Roaches in the room, AC never cooled better than 78, dead bugs in the extra blanket for the fold out sofa that our daughter was using! Our “neighbor” smoked weed each of the nights we were there and that’s what we smelled all night and our clothes and belongings smelled like each day! Had to get towels from the front desk once. After the associate put her cell phone down and acknowledged us, 10 minutes later she retrieved towels for us. We will not be staying at this location again! Very disappointed!!!!

Halls and walls were dirty on the way to room. The floors were littered with beer cartons and other trash. The ice machine on the floor didn't work. The coffee carafe was empty in the lobby for breakfast. It was promptly filled after I asked with worst tasting brew I have ever had. The room seemed clean and the bed comfortable but the other problems left me uncetain.

Loved this location. It was my first time visiting the Olive Branch Mississippi location or any of the Home2 Suites. Upon entering the building up until the time I checkout my stay was exceptional. The room was more than I could have ask for and the service team was A-1in customer service. Not much else to say but that I was please and very much enjoyed my stay. Walkability: Located is located next door to familiar restaurants and a grocery store.

Great location. Beautiful hotel. The staff was excellent. They all did a great job and were available. The manager was great and offered to go to the store for gluten free breakfast options. We didn't take her up on it, but it was a great offer. Rooms: Beautiful room and with all the latest technology Safety: We felt very safe in the hotel and parking lot Walkability: It is located near a shipping center. We walked to dinner.
