Home Instead West Hartford provided excellent care for my mother. They worked with us to find the right caregivers for her. The caregivers got to know her well and they knew just what they needed. They went above and beyond to take care of her many needs. I would highly recommend Home Instead West Hartford.
Exceptional company to work for. They are professional and give great feedback on your work ethic. They give you convenient work hours and work around your schedule. They encourage you to grow within the company and if you love helping the elderly this is a great company and opportunity to begin with and sustain a positive and successful career with. It is a pleasant experience working with elderly clients and coworkers that encourage that help you build healthy relationships and positive work culture. I learned to develop cultural competence while working with this wonderful company. As long as you put forth the effort of meeting new people and building healthy relationships then this is the company for you.
Home Instead had been wonderful in providing the help our father needed. They were extremely responsive and had some wonderful caring aides. Our father needed a lot of support and care and Home Instead was so helpful, would absolutely use them again!
Home Instead has been a lifesaver for my mom and me. Rupal and her team provide her with thoughtful, responsive care and me with confidence and security that she is being well cared for. Rhoni goes above and beyond to ensure her personal needs are met. She’s her angel.
I guess I need to repost this because I had a feeling my previous one was taken down because I was telling the truth. And sure enough it got taken down. If you’re considering working here, DONT! They put on the flexible schedule act for so long and then when life happens too much, you’re gone and fired. I had a car accident so I had to call out of a shift last minute, and that’s ultimately what got me fired. I was shamed for calling too late, I still did call even while dealing with police, and insurance. They hang up on you before you finish talking if you say something they don’t like, or if you decide to hold THEM accountable! It’s a very conniving atmosphere. Save your energy and look elsewhere!!
I had an emergent situation where I needed CNA coverage for a family member. I called at 5pm for medical coverage starting that night. Rupal and her team moved heaven and earth to get it done and they did- I could not be more grateful. The team at Home Instead is top notch. Thanks for the help and support.
Home Instead is an amazing company. All the caregivers are great. Home Instead was a huge help when I needed assistance with my family. Working with Home Instead was a really wonderful experience.
I’ve used several other agencies in helping to care for my parents but wasn’t happily satisfied until I met Jane Urban and the staff of Home Instead. The aides are thoroughly scrutinized thus each one I met was fantastic. They didn’t sit around reading a book; they took the time to engage with my parents. Some became more like family after awhile. Jane and this crew are all professional, friendly, dependable, and trustworthy. Why go anywhere else?
Home instead is a wonderful agency. I spoke directly with Jane and the care coordinator Tim. Every aid I worked with was gracious and kind and patient with my grandma! The aids worked directly with me to find out my grandma’s strengths and weaknesses when it comes to new people. They waited to make sure that all my questions and concerns were answered before they gave me their information They even made sure they were there when we had bad weather snow back in the winter. The aids left very detailed notes so I could see how my grandma’s days were! If I every need an aid for another family member I know who to call immediately!
I have been working with the West Hartford, CT Home Instead as a caregiver for six years. I have provided care for sixteen different seniors over that time. Each senior I have taken care of has had a different range of care needs. I have taken care of easier care needs like companionship, errands and cooking. I have also had seniors who needed more personal care and that could have been bathing and dressing, or also incontinence care. I have always provided my seniors with the kindness and love they so deserved. Many of my seniors had advanced stages of dementia and so many complicated emotions, but I always made sure I was caring for each person as though they were my own family and not somebody else's. My boss is one of a kind and she has helped in making me a better caregiver because she always supports me and knows that caregivers need to be treated with kindness and love because it helps create a cycle of excellent care.
