Homestead Hill CSA is part of Bardenhagen Berries farm, located in Lake Leelanau, MI. We specialize in sustainably grown vegetables and cut-flowers.
Homestead Hill CSA is located in the heart of Leelanau County, and is the historical name of Bardenhagen Berries. The farm has been operated by the same family (Bremer) since it was homesteaded in 1873. For more than fifty years, the principle crops have included strawberries and cherries. In 2015, we started this Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, with the goal of producing fresh, sustainably grown vegetables and cut-flowers. We are in the process of certifying our vegetable and flower crops as organic. The farm is verified by the Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) and participates in the Michigan Safe Food Risk Assessment.
