Absolutely atrocious service from this hotel. I've stayed at dozens of Hilton properties over the past few years and this is one of the worst three hotels I've stayed at. First room had a broken A/C unit on a 100° weekend, and had lotion in the shower instead of conditioner. Leaving for work in the morning I requested maintenance to fix the A/C and housekeeping to bring up conditioner. Got back at 7 to a still broken A/C, still no conditioner. Was moved to a new smaller room that they charged the original higher rate for, this one had empty body wash, no hand soap, and no shampoo. Once again I asked for room service in the morning to come and replace the empty items - and once again came back to nothing. To get fresh towels a few days later I once again requested room service three days in a row before they came. Fortunately they removed all the dirty towels, trash, and shower curtain, but decided not to replace the towels, wash cloths, curtain, or trash bags. Once again I had to go down and have the front desk rummage around for all this. On the weekends housekeeping ignores the do not disturb door sign, and when performing service cannot understand English. "Only trash, please" or "can I please get more coffee" is met with an armful of bedding to be swapped. As far as the rooms, they are adequate but need a deep cleaning. Stains in the carpets, on the couch cushions, a stale funk from the air conditioner. This may be a less expensive option in the area, but until they invest in better staffing and a thorough cleaning I seriously caution against staying here more than 1 night.
Booked this hotel for 7 days due to my son running in the Jr. Olympics. Our first day there we had to fill pots with water because the toilet wouldn’t flush. Guest services were notified and we were told they’re sorry and they would discount the room for the night. We leave the next morning only to return later that evening after 8pm only to find that our room door had been left open all day. I informed guest services of this incident and was told I would get Hilton Honors points for the room being left open all day. What!!! I requested on Monday morning that our room be cleaned daily after coming back from our daily outing I went back to guest services to inform them that the room wasn’t cleaned, but only to be told by Kristy guest service manager I gave you points which was totally disrespectful to me. Out of the entire stay our room was cleaned a total of 3 days. I was told by one of the housekeepers that I couldn’t get clean towels because he didn’t have enough, so I go to the front desk to get clean towels only to be told they don’t have any clean towels at the moment they are being washed. This is after 8 in the morning. Kristy at the front desk is rude as heck. Worst experience ever.
Someone else's dirty socks still in room. Don't believe the beds were changed as they had crumbs in them. Bathroom was out of bath soap and shampoo. Room phone didn't work and no one would answer the phone when we called from our cells. But will say the hostess for the evening meal was very friendly.Rooms: 1/5
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Walked into our room and the TV was hanging off the wall, parts of the AC unit were lying on the floor and it barely worked. Go to take a shower and we have 1 shower door, there are suppose to be 2 glass doors. We went to front desk and they said they can legally rent the room like that. Didn't get offered a different room or any sort of compensation!!! Absolutely deplorable! Also the hot tub doesn't work and the breakfast is a joke!
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a nice commercial area with lots of food options nearby. Room was very nice, with a terrific little mini kitchen, cooktop included. The hallways smelled clean. The carpeting is an unfortunate choice as it looks like the Corona Virus. The dining area was very spacious so you didn’t feel crowded. Dog friendly with bags provided; yet not a lot of green area to walk your dog; spouse went into the neighborhood nearby. Exterior very well maintained. Nice pool if a bit warm. Breakfast was fine. I heard some complainers but there was a bit of everything available even at the end of the breakfast window on a Sunday. Rooms: I could live here. Little kitchen is nice. Bed was good, lots of furniture options with ability to move nearly everything; be warned, furniture on wheels! A/C was quick to cool; nice over-bed ceiling fan that I may or may not have programmed…no instructions provided for fan or A/C although there was a sign on the A/C that had an acronym I didn’t recognize. Nearby activities: Many food and shopping options. Safety: Well lit parking lot and interior hallways. Walkability: Not really walkable. Food & drinks: Provided me everything I needed including hot breakfast items. Not a menu breakfast. Heard some complainers at the END of the SUNDAY breakfast window. They must enjoy complaining. Noteworthy details: Great to be able to bring our silver Labrador Retriever.
TL;DR: nice rooms but frustrating to get a room block with. If you're wedding planning, start EARLY in getting a hotel. We used Homewood Suites as our hotel when we had our wedding recently, and although the guests enjoyed the rooms and it is very close to I-35, my mother-in-law and I had a very difficult time coordinating with the specialist in the months leading up to our big day. It took them a very long time to answer her initial email request for information on booking a room block and in answering emails/phone calls in general, they did not understand that we wanted a certain number of rooms for Friday and more for Saturday, our guests had great difficulty on actually securing a room the website was telling them it was full when it was not, and the first specialist we were talking to left about a month before our wedding, meaning we were switched over to a new person when many people were trying to figure out their accommodations for our wedding weekend. This new person initially could not even find our reserved rooms when we called to check in and could not tell us if our block was full when they could find it in their system. Both people also work at the Hampton Inn next door too, meaning it took them both a little bit to even ascertain which hotel we were wanting to book with and were often "at the other hotel" when we needed to talk to them. Overall, not sure I would recommend using them if you need a block of rooms.
We just wrapped up a multi-state road trip, and this was our final hotel. It was the newest by far, and absolutely the best amenities of any HWS we stayed at. Excellent HWS for entertaining. I loved the outdoor areas with the fire pit we didn't use it, but it was nice. The pool and hot tub were the best of our trip. Modern washer and dryers looked great. The breakfast was good. I saw some parents who were disappointed in the lack of waffles, pancakes or French toast. Same as the last HWS. If you have younger kids, there was cereal. The eggs, sausage and potatoes were good. Staff was attentive and friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained. We just had to laugh at the decor. The carpet reminded us of a petri dish, pollen or communicable diseases. I would definitely stay here again, even with the funny carpet. Noteworthy details: The spa/hot tub and pool were excellent.
In one word....NIGHTMARE. ZERO STARS! I reserved and paid for my room at 8:40pm. I arrived at the hotel less than 2 hours later and MATTHEW had given our room away! We were traveling across country for a wedding and there we were 10:30 at night with no where to stay! Matthew was extremely rude right out of the gate. He told me I should have called to "confirm" my room. I have NEVER called to confirm because I have a confirmation number! Then Matthew tells me it was "first come, first serve". Also a LIE because I paid for and reserved the room!! Matthew never apologized or made any effort to fix HIS mistake! He sent us dragging our bags across the parking lot to their supposed sister hotel only to be sent back to useless Matthew. So, because of MATTHEW'S incompetence, we were forced to find and pay for ANOTHER room at a different hotel. Because I had paid for the room, I had to wait 7-10 days for my refund so because of Matthew, $200 of my money was 100% tied up during our entire travel! The woman at our new hotel Drury Hotel was amazing and accommodating. She even gave us a $20 discount because Matthew was such a useless TOOL. Matthew yelled at me to "NOT come back!" Oh....don't you worry Matthew.....I'll NEVER stay at a Homewood Suites....EVER!! And I hope you get FIRED!
Great place to stay. It used to be affordable but lately prices have skyrocketed!! My company gets a deal because we have so many people staying there. But clean, nice kitchen setup, and big king rooms! comfortable if you “live” there week after week. The staff are outstanding! Especially Jennifer!
This is the best hotel in the area. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are always clean, the breakfast is good and free!, and the whole place just has a nice feel to it. I would definitely recommend staying here.Rooms: 5/5
