We will stay here again. The common areas of the hotel look a little dated, but they are kept well clean and there is a lovely smell throughout the space. The room that we stayed in had a trundle couch option which our children really enjoyed and allowed us to have more room than if we had had two queen beds. The bed and pillows weren't comfortable to me, but that is a personal preference I found the bed to be too hard and the pillows to be flimsy. What really made the hotel likable besides the cleanliness was the hotel staff. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We requested an additional blanket and were promptly delivered one by housekeeping. Shortly after receiving it we were contacted by the front desk to ensure that we had received it. Sometimes its the little things that make a place worth coming back to. My children gave the pool 5 stars. It was a nice temp. and clean. We all enjoyed the hot tub, which was also kept nice for guests.
This was a really nice place. We didn't get around to use the pool. The free breakfast was very good. We had two queen beds and a pullout couch. My husband and I both took a bed and my son just wanted to sleep on the couch. I would definitely stay here again. Walkability: You need a car if you want to go somewhere. Nothing w/in walking distance.
Spacious rooms. Clean lobby. Good king bed. Ample breakfast. Judy at the front desk was a pleasure to work with. It's nice to meet employees who enjoy their jobs. We called for a last minute reservation and she was very helpful. Would stay here again because of her.Rooms: 4/5
Nice hotel overall! I liked the atmosphere and the ascetic. Very comfortable and also had a great pool! Though they have pretty thin walls if that impacts you're decision much . Just watch out you don't perfectly align yourself with the fabric of the universe and accidently falls through to see horrors beyond mans comprehension!Rooms: 4/5
I loved my stay here. It was so comfortable and homey. The front desk staff was really helpful and friendly. My room was fantastic and I felt so safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. Would totally recommend!
we have always been pleased with marriott hotels, except for two times and this is one of those times. here are our complaints: - sheets, pillowcases, and blankets all had stains on them, they were also very old sheets - stained mattress when looking for bed bugs - we went to the front desk to ask for new linens and the housekeeping took over thirty minutes, and this was after a second call, we had to stay up late due to this after a long day of traveling - nasty shower walls, we showered with the curtain open because they were that gross and the space was small - no shampoo or body wash in the shower i got in and ended up washing my hair and body with conditioner - no trash can in bathroom an easy necessity and the trashcan outside in the room had no trash bag - rock hard beds and pillows - no lights in bedroom half, room was very dark and had no clock - rooms need major updating and cleaning - thin walls could hear everything, ladies in elevator complained about this as well here are the things we liked: - breakfast looked very good though we didn’t get any because we wanted out of this hotel - staff was friendly -lobby was updated - great location we except much better from mariot, and especially for the des moines area, we hope that this hotel makes the needed improvements because we will not be staying here again. a hotel should not have you leaving feeling disgusted and dirty, as this one did.
Nice place to stay. Nice size rooms. Wonderful staff and great breakfast for free. But rooms at $726.00 for around the 4th of July, for 1 night, not even on the 4th, is way to much! Motel 6, which is 2 down from there is $142.00. You have to keep it real!!Rooms: 5/5
