She is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, skilled in effective listening, reflective communication, pain management, optimal labor and delivery positioning, guided meditation, visualization, breathing techniques, basic message, and basic acupressure. Amber works diligently to include and inspire labor partners. She understands the importance of all involved supporting the mother in her journey.
With a background in the medical field, Amber understands "medicalese" and is prepared to assist the mother in making informed decisions. Empowering a laboring mother is a fundamental element of the Doula care she provides.
Labor and birth is a sacred act and should be treated as such. Supporting the mother's spirit, the warrior within her, is vital.
