The Hooper Institute is housed in a large, Georgian style building on Prospect Hill Road in Walpole, NH. Downstair is a large woodshop used for a summer woodworking camp. Upstairs is the Farm & Forest Museum, housing old tools from Walpole's past. This museum is open by appointment to school and youth groups.
Whereas the intended spirit of the will of George L. Hooper provides for the teaching of environmental sciences and wholesome living to the young men and women of Walpole, the Board of Directors envisions the Hooper Institute as a community resource which will teach our young people to enjoy, appreciate and protect their environment and improve their quality of life.
