My boyfriend planned our 3 year anniversary to Upstate NY. This hotel was so beautiful and cozy and very quiet. Pictures below was the room we stood in. They got really busy during the weekend but during the week it’s pretty dead. Front desk staff was very friendly. The only reason I gave this a four star, not a five is because we didn’t get any housekeeping for the 5 nights we were there. I felt like their schedules to come clean were not certain hours and we put the tag for our room to be serviced and nothing was done. But other than that our experience was good for the first time staying here.
Friendly staff and nice room. However there was only one hangar in the closet and no hairdryer in the bathroom. The shuttle to the ski area had some fairly big gaps, in its rounds back to the hotel. The water park kept the kids busy and the BIG indoor/outdoor hot tub were a nice plus for the adults.
We visited the Hope Lake Lodge over a long spring ski weekend at Greek Peak and stayed in one of the split rock suites. I hadn't been to Greek Peak skiing since I was a kid over 30 years. This hotel, while not ski on ski off, is only two minutes away from the resort and is the nicest place to stay in the area. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site as well. While the interiors in the rooms and lobby overall could use a refresh, the Hope Lake Lodge is the best property to stay at while visiting or skiing in the area.
We stopped in the bar for a quick drink and snack. The onion soup was really good served by our super friendly bartender, Tammi. She was a delight encouraging us to return for dinner. We were in the mood for a good steak and expected a hotel restaurant type of meal. My filet was superb! Prepared perfectly and the salad and sides were also delish. It was a great experience...thanks Tammi for recommending!
If you are skiing at Greek Peak, then this is the place to stay. The desk clerk Summer was very efficient to get our RFID card loaded at the lodge, with an $80 discount. This saved a stop at the Greek Peak ticket sales desk. There was a ski check at the front door, which was REALLY polite. The shuttle ran every 10 minutes, so it was like a ski-in/ski-out accommodation. The rooms are owned as "timeshares" and rented out by the lodge management. We had a small room, with a queen bed, 3piece lav, kitchen stove, range, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and sink dining table, fireplace and couch. The room was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the Bocat pub. There were three taxidermy mounts of bobcats. We also enjoyed the indoor / outdoor hot tub.
Booked 2-night stay 10/19 and 10/20. Was told at arrival there would be some minor construction of balconies on the outside of the lodge and the work would not start until after 8:00am. My wife and I was awakened by construction crew starting at just after 7:00am. I cannot understand why they would put guests on the hotel side that had construction right under their room. Talked with the desk manager and they gave a sorry and was given to the manager John. He gave me a promise and a handshake that the problem would be resolved, and he would call me that day. Never received a call from John. At this point I talked with the front desk manager Niki and I asked to be compensated for the 1 day. I was told she would talk to John and that I would definitely receive a call that day on 10/20. Again, no call. Unfortunately, this is how their customer service works. For the price you pay you would be better off staying at a local hotel.
More than satisfied its a great place to stay with young kids. This place has everything that a parent needs for their kids. fun indoor and outdoor. The customer service is awesome every one of their employees go obove and beyond to help and make your stay comfortable. But I would suggest to book your trip calling them because their website has some kind of glitch. For example we booked the package sizzling summer midweek but found of the system switch our package to 10% off and when you get 10% off you don't get the package that includes water park tickets coaster ride and $100 restaurant credit. But as I mentioned the customer service is awesome and when I told them about this problem they give me tickets for water park and rides with discount right there I definitely come back here and I do recommend it to everyone.
Nice stay here, rooms are a bit older but clean. Unfortunately there seems to be a hot water issue in the mornings. We didn't have hot water in the morning and I heard other guests saying the same.Rooms: 3/5
We visited during summer. The kids loved the arcade and water park. The log home was so spacious and beautiful. Had such a nice time.Rooms: 5/5
