Awesome Campground, super friendly staff! Went tent camping for the weekend, and it was great! My suggestions: bring your own grill there's 2 there, but I like my own, and an extension cord. There's electric at each site, but the way I positioned my tent, I had to charge things while awake, which is all good. Also, bring quarters and dimes, super clean showers/bathrooms, but the showers take quarters and dimes. Will happily return!
Nice place to stop, enjoy a lunch, look the color in the trees across the lake. Clean, and we'll kept. Thank you!
My daughter caught the fish. Getting it off the hook...it was a fighter. Tough guy or female, . whatever!lol
Best customer service, super friendly guys that run the place. Very accommodating and helpful when I had a family emergency and had to cancel, really appreciated that.
We have been coming to this campground for over 30 years. We love our campsite on the waterfront. Retirement is great! We are close to all the amenities and area festivals. Summer concerts on the water. Great neighbors- what more can you ask for.
Nice little campground. Views are great whether you are in a spot right on the lake or on the other side of the loop. The bathrooms are not great. The guys bathroom have no doors on the stalls and the girls stall door hit your knees almost. It was a cool weekend that we were there and there was no heat on in the bathrooms. The showers are coin operated, did not use them as it was too cold. The showers are kind of lowly lit and cement floors. Not the nicest, but I'm sure they would be fine if you had nothing else. The price is reasonable and if you don't feel like cooking, there are a couple of restaurants in the area that are nice. Manistee is fairly close too. I had called ahead and was told my name would be on a post, but it wasn't. It wasn't a busy weekend, so finding a spot was easy. Not sure if I would trust having a spot available on a nicer weekend.
What a beautiful little piece of heaven! Small and cute!! Little beach, play ground. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. A food truck three blocks away with THE BEST Brisket and Cheese Philly youv'e ever had! The staff are the BEST, so friendly and easy going!! Will be back for sure
We stayed at the park in the spring of 2015. It is a clean and cozy park. Bathrooms were very clean as was the entire campground. We'll stay here again if we're in the area. We reserved in advance and were able to stay lake side which was awesome. The side opposite the lake has some low spots that take on water when it rains but I guess that's to be expected in some areas. We're from Bellaire, MI.
Not a very private place at all but if you just want to stop somewhere for a night or so on your way through the area it works great. Nice guy runs it, hot showers and easy access for launching a boat if you would like to do some fishing.
Spent one night in a tent. Campground is just perfect! You can sit by the lake and watch the sunset. It was gorgeous! Quiet and clean. Highly recommended.
