Great experience! I was politely greeted, spoke to the assistant who took my D/L and insurance card. I had to wait only five to seven minutes before I was called in to begin my eye exam. The doctor's assistant was very professional, and the doctor came in promptly, conducted my eye exam thoroughly, asked many questions, and answered all of mine in very understandable language. I was very pleased with the whole process, which took less than one hour from start to finish. I will definitely recommend Houston Eye Associates to all my friends and family!
Dr. Clint Gonzalez and staff are absolutely amazing, kind and caring. They took care of me and my two daughters and we’re incredibly patient with the children. Their group of offices have every type of eye specialist available and can handle most, if not every need. I highly recommend them!
As a person with a very busy schedule, I would not send anyone to this facility after waiting over 2 hours to see the doctor and listening to other patients complain about this being a normal occurrence. I exhibited plenty of patience today, even when Dr. Thomas chose to be easily frustrated and remove himself from the room simply from me pointing out the unusual nature of the wait time. I am pretty sure he is a great doctor as his professionalism and niceness was on display throughout most of his short visit with me, but that does not make it acceptable to not want to have better scheduling practices at the office or hear about it when someone is explaining their experience. It is unfair to patients when they are turned around if running late or charged if they are a no show, when they would have a long wait to get through the full administrative process and see the actual doctor anyway. I do intend to look further into scheduling guidelines for offices and raise additional complaints if it will help even one other patient have a better experience with the visitation process at this office. My score is low because or these aspects of the practice. Prior to my pointing out my disappointment with the wait, the doctor had been nice. As for staff, they were really good at their jobs despite needing to respond to patient wait complaints continually. Every staff member treated me with care and was respectful. Nonetheless, I doubt I would return. However, if having a doctor that people say is great along with a bad process is ok for you then by all means try this office, but just prepare yourself for a long wait and don't do like me and show up without having eaten anything all day or freeing the remainder of your morning or afternoon to accommodate the wait.
Dr. Gonzales is great with my family. He runs on time and is thorough, taking his time answering all my questions. The staff is also excellent.
Doctor and staff were amazing! They were very patient with my children, and talked about all of the processes that were being done in their visits. Very pleased with Dr. Gonzales and his staff!

This has been the best place I have gone to for my eye exams! Dr. Clint Gonzales is clearly vested in his patients care, is thorough with eye exam, and is extremely professional. His team is also very kind and easy to work with. The environment is clean and presentable. I have gone here various years and have never had any issues. If you are looking for quality, give Dr. Clint Gonzales and his team a try.
My mom had appointment at 2:50pm. To have her eye examined because she has a cancerous sore on nose going into her eye. She's 80yrs old. It's now 5:32pm. And we're still waiting! They closed at 5. The commute was 1 hour 30 minutes. Asking about time period and they're very short with you and rude and taking their time,lots of employees standing around yet people everywhere! If you come here pack a meal it's ridiculous!!
Wonderful place. I didn't have to wait long. Everyone is professional. They listen to you don't try and rush you. A young lady helped me pick out frames that look good on me. A great experience. I will go back for my needs for my eye checkups and glasses. My #1 place to go for my eyes.
