HTC is an outpatient facility that provides Methadone Maintenance, Individual, Group, and Family therapy.
HTC provides specialization services including but not limited Pregnant individuals with intravenous (IV ) and/or other substance use disorders, All other individuals with IV use, Individuals with HIV and intravenous and/or substance use disorder, as well as Women with substance use disorder and dependent children.
A pre-screening will be completed to see if an individual qualifies for services.
Remember Methadone Maintenance is not for everyone and if an applicant does not qualify, appropriate referrals will be made to the correct treatment so recovery can begin.
HTC receives new patients Monday – Thursday. All new patients must arrive at the center by 6:00 am. (Please contact the center by phone to insure new patients are being accepted)
All applicants for treatment at the Houston Treatment Center, LLC., must complete the following steps:
1. Be 18 years of age or older.
2. Complete the Psycho-Social Assessment with the Clinical Director and/or counselor at Houston Treatment Center to identify issues to be addressed on the Treatment Plan
3. Show current proof of identification issued by the Department of Public Safety of Alabama (unless living out of state).
4. Submit a urinalysis to be tested for opiates
5. Pay a $88.00 admission fee for Methadone (which covers physical, lab work, first days medication, and the cost of the Surviving Addiction workbook)
6. Complete a physical exam with the clinic physician (to include a TB test, RPR, CBC, etc.)
