Howard University School of Law was founded in 1869. In 2001 the current Law Library opened its doors on Van Ness St., NW.
The Howard University School of Law Library serves the Law School Community, and as a Federal Depository Library is also open to the public. We provide access to and maintain a collection of information resources that support law school programs, legal research, and the needs of all library users. The Howard University School of Law Library selects, organizes, preserves, and provides access to all of our resources as a way to assist those in their pursuit of justice.
"In an abundance of caution, the library is open to Howard University law and divinity faculty, staff, and students until further notice."
