My father passed away and I was referred to the Howell Funeral Homes. They provided the death certificate quickly, provided a soloist for the service, handled the paperwork in a timely manner. The location in Jessup is clean and the personnel was very nice to my family. I would use them again. R.B.

Howell Funeral Home provided my family with the most professional and compassionate care and service during the darkest time of our lives. From the first meeting to make arrangements for our dearly beloved to the burial and repast, Howell Funeral Home guided and assisted us through the difficult process by providing recommendations, options and solutions. We were able to call them at any time with any question. Knowing that Mr. Thomas and the team were in charge and overseeing the planning helped relieve a tremendous burden off of my family. Thank you to all who participated to make the services and the process flawless.

Unreliable and no manners. I dealt with Thomas and Kurt. Prior for them receiving my money, are very nice and courteous and once the got my money, they’re different people. Thomas has no manners, no Hi, how are you? How you’ve been, thank you? Nothing. Saw him in 2 different days. Kurt gave me his cel number to contact him for other things that I needed and I every time I called, no answer. Once, he called me hours and hours later. Once a day later and once never called me back. So I started to call the business number and asked for the stuff I needed. The Death Certificate got ready 2 weeks later when it’s super fast to get it ready. There’s an INCOMPETENT person that got the first name and last name mixed. So the Death certificate has the wrong name and to fix it they wrote AKA and then the correct name. Supposedly not fixable. This place blamed the Doctor who did the certificate. My question is, was it the INCOMPETENCE of who related the name to the Doctor or the Doctor itself? Either way, for sure there’s an INCOMPETENT in the middle here. There’s more to this story but I’m done……. People, if you’re reading this, don’t do business here. It’s pretty stressful…..

My family and friends paid our last respects to my beloved sister today at Howell Funeral Home. The staff and the faculties there were excellent. I would give Howell Funeral two thumbs up! Beautiful place and kind staff.

I attended the funeral of Elaine McRae yesterday and it was a beautiful experience as this is my first time attending an actual funeral in a funeral home. It was certainly a great time in the Lord. I would give 5 stars, however after 2 1/2 hours of sitting on the wood pews, my legs became numb, I would recommend adding some cushions to the pews for comfort.

I thought I would never say that a funeral home is beautiful. But Howell Funeral Home is one if only the most beautiful funeral home I have every seen and who would think you could say that about a funeral home. My uncle passed away about two weeks ago and we used Howell Funeral Home. Their staff was very considerate and thoughtful through the entire process. They were timely with meeting my family and answering any questions that we had. The entire staff was very helpful and always polite, everyone greeted you with a smile and made you feel that they were truly sorry to hear of your loss. I never had to plan a funeral before and had no idea what I was doing, but they helped me every step of the way and took so much pressure and worry off of me doing an already difficult time.

Wonderful Wonderful experience! Made the entire process for my mom's final arrangements completely stress free. Very supportive and accommodating staff especially Thomas. They got the job done and even helped with repass accommodations. They treated my family and I like we were their family. Howell Funeral Services will always be my go to. Not to mention the Elkridge location was Beautiful! Thank you Howell!

We lost my father Thomas E. Monroe Jr. in May. My parents were on a plane on their way back from overseas. He passed away mid flight. We had to deal with two funeral homes. On in Alaska and then Howell funeral home. Needless to say we were very emotional and stressed out. We never really think about the actual funeral home we choose for our final goodbyes as this place was meant to be.... well as soo as we walked in.... that was the feeling my family and I had. The entire staff made us feel as though they were saying their final goodbye to a old friend or even a family member. Mr. Grace was heartfelt and kind. I will never forget him. He ended up serving in Vietnam with my dad. Mr. Grace said he was bringing a fellow Marine home. Thank to the Howell family and staff for everything! -Veronica Monroe Richardson
