Howenstein Dental

Howenstein Dental is an exceptional dentist office. I've been a patient for 20 years and have no plans going elsewhere. I started out with Dr. Larry and for the last several years Dr. Kevin, his son, has been my primary. Dr. Kevin and all the hygienists especially Kathy make me feel like family when I go in every 6 months. I'd recommend Howenstein Dental to any and everyone, my whole family relies on Howenstein for all of our dental needs.

My first visit was on 10/11/2023,the staff was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My hygienist, Casey, was the best. Her customer service was excellent and she did a great job. Dr. Mike Howenstein was super nice as well. I would highly recommend this dental office.

Hands down the nicest and most relaxed environment I have ever had dental work done. They took the time to talk me through everything and actually listened to my questions and concerns. Hands down the ONLY place I will be going for work done in the future! I even bought my daughter in for an emergency appointment when her orthodontist couldn't see her for over a week! As soon as we can I will be switching my entire family over to this office!

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who likes going to the dentist. When you have hereditary issues that require a lot of dental work, you don’t have a choice. I got lucky when I picked this office. Kevin Howenstein is one of the most caring people I’ve met. He’s gone above and beyond for my many issues. He does what he can to make me feel comfortable and always listens to what I’d like done - while still providing honest advice as to his opinions. His staff is friendly and even if they are busy with someone else, they always stop by to see how I’m doing. I couldn’t have asked for a more friendly, considerate and genuinely caring dentist. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Living 2 hours away from Fairview Heights has been challenging finding dentists in the area in which we live. It was a refreshing change to see all of the happy smiling faces! They did a wonderful job!

I've always had great experiences at Howenstein Dental. Donna the hygienist has always done a great job. She makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr Mike takes the time to make sure all my questions are answered and is always available if I have any questions or concerns.

I never have like going to the dentist. This was my first time going to Dr. Kevin office. My first experience with this office was amazing. The staff and Dr. Kevin made you feel so comfortable and relaxed. When I left the office I told all my friends about Howenstein dentist. This my first time ever saying I loved being at the dentist. This will be my Dentist this point on.

Dr Kevin is the very best. I am 68 yrs old and he is the 1st dentist who has not hurt me. I travel from ky just to see him. He is so patient and compassionate. Love him.

This dentist office is great from the front desk ladies to the hygienist and dentists. I would recommend all to go there. I didn't have dental insurance so I used Aetna dental discount card. With the card my initial visit and later my extraction was less than 100 dollars. My dentist was Mike but it's two other gentlemen whom I'm sure is just as great as he is.

This is the best dentist I've had the pleasure of using! Their office doesn't look as great as some of the fancier dentist offices I've been too in the past, but their people are literally the best around. I've had a lot of dental work done and can easily say I've never had as little irritation or pain while in their care. Not only are their people the best at what they do, they also care about their patients to include financial concerns. When I first came to them I had just gone to another dentist office in my area with very high ratings. That dentist office was super nice in their amenities, but the cleaning they gave me was very rough, rougher than many military dentist offices I've been too in the past. After the cleaning and, notably without any x-rays, the dentist came in to talk to me. That dentist told me that my entire set of teeth was beyond saving and I would need crowns on all my teeth. They gave me a total amount and informed me their office workers are very good at working with insurances to max out my allotment each quarter to pay for all the crowns. I've been with Howenstein Dental now for over 7 years, my teeth have never been healthier and I have yet to get 1 crown. Dr. Howenstein would happily give me crowns if I requested them but he won't recommend any work that isn't necessary.
