A big department store that offers many brands in one single ideal place. Perfumes, accessories, watches, handbags, clothes, dresses, shoes, furniture, kitchen stuff, etc. I enjoyed shopping here.
First of all, no ar conditioner in the summer so it’s just as hot as outside. Second, it’s the most ugly clothes I’ve ever seen in my life, but then again, I’m from NYC maybe people here have awful taste?! Save yourself and go to Zara pls!
My cold cut sandwhich was great! My partner got the Porchetta and it was ok. Apparently the pork tasted old then later on he had stomach pains. Cannolis were good.
Hudson’s Bay has everything you need from clothing to furniture, decor, small appliances, children items, holiday items, and more. It is reliable for most needs and occasions. It is a very big store on multiple levels. It is accessible as it has escalators as well as elevators. For the most part, there are signs so you can more easily find what you are looking for at least the floor number. Unfortunately, the service is less than adequate, especially Monday-Friday. Not all check out registers and changing rooms are open, or there is a long wait for a worker to come. Some of the departments are very disorganized, especially the clothing sections. The prices range, but there are often sales and benefits if you become a member of The Bay.
Tried to buy a CHANEL perfume one day. A black salewoman displayed unprofessional behavior by rudely cutting in front of me between the counter and pushed me with her hand. This was a disappointing experience I never expected, as she could have simply walked behind me or offered assistance with my purchase. It's puzzling that a luxury store would employ someone lacking proper etiquette and professionalism. I would never shop there.
My recent exploration of Hudson's Bay, Montreal's oldest store, was a journey back in time that left me thoroughly enchanted by its historical significance and well-preserved charm. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to an era that seamlessly blended the past with the present, offering a unique shopping experience that was both nostalgic and delightful. The building itself exuded an air of timeless elegance, standing as a testament to Montreal's rich heritage. Its well-maintained façade and intricate architectural details hinted at the stories woven into its walls over the centuries. Walking through the entrance felt like stepping through a portal to the past, a gateway to a bygone era of grace and sophistication. Inside, the ambiance was a delightful fusion of old-world charm and modern convenience. The store's layout, while designed to accommodate contemporary shoppers, seemed to honor the history that had unfolded within its confines. The juxtaposition of vintage design elements and contemporary displays created a harmonious blend that spoke volumes about the store's enduring legacy. Exploring the aisles, I couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to those who had come before me. The store seemed to whisper tales of Montreal's evolution, of shoppers who had once walked these very aisles, seeking the finest goods of their time. The continuity of tradition was palpable, an invisible thread that connected generations of visitors. As I made my selections, I was struck by the thought that I was adding a small piece to the story of this remarkable establishment. The act of shopping took on a different dimension – it was no longer just about acquiring goods, but about participating in the narrative of a place that had stood witness to history. What truly impressed me was the dedication to preserving the store's heritage while adapting to the needs of modern consumers. The building's good condition was a testament to the care and attention bestowed upon it, ensuring that it remained a living artifact of Montreal's past. In conclusion, my visit to Hudson's Bay, Montreal's oldest store, was a memorable experience that blended the nostalgia of the past with the conveniences of the present. The well-preserved building and the store's respectful nod to its history made for a unique and gratifying shopping excursion. If you're looking to immerse yourself in Montreal's rich cultural tapestry while indulging in a modern shopping experience, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Hudson's Bay – a place where the past and present harmonize to create a truly special and enriching outing.
Extensive collection of brands in 5 floors. You can find almost every clothing brands for adults and children. Also, there are kitchen accessories, furniture and home bar glasses. The downside is the high prices. Plus, the sale section Solder is very small and not satisfactory with its disappointing items. Basically, nice store for customers if you don’t mind the price
Not so happy with our Monday morning visit today. We found the staff in the men’s department very rude. My husband wanted to try on some trousers. A member of staff was unable to find the key to open the 1st changing room but instead of showing my husband where to go just pointed to one near the Ralph Lauren Polo section. He entered the changing rooms there only to be shouted at by an angry older woman he’s 54 We find this totally unacceptable. If people are not allowed to enter the changing rooms without a staff member being present why are they not manned during opening hours. It’s not the first time we’ve found the older staff to be rude & discourteous. No problem with the younger staff members. I don’t usually complain but this is starting to become our general feeling at an overall decent store.
My favourite place! One of the best places that offers really good service to buy perfumes. Thousand of products and brands! This branch is huge!! Great environment and friendly staff! There is a lot of choices fo Christmas gifts and decorations!! I love this branch
So many floors, easy to get lost in. I was looking for the belt section and was directed to the wrong floor, at least three times. Had to ask five different staff members for guidance. Only 1 staff member actually gave me precise directions and I finally found them!
