The Inlet parking lot is very easy to access. I would recommend using the “parking mobile app” it would be easier to use so you can extend time if you want to on the app. You then don’t have to return to your vehicle to add time. I would recommend downloading the app before you arrive to enter all your information, once there you have easy access to all the rides which would include Trimper’s Rides, the Pier Rides etc. The fishing is also pretty good. You can fish along the seawall all the way out to the Ocean City jetty marker. Price for parking is pretty reasonable in the summer time and in the off-season It’s free, except during some events maybe on the weekend.. It’s great spot to see sunrise in the morning. In the summertime they have showers just before you walk out onto the beach so you can rinse off before getting back to your car. If you’re visiting Ocean City, I would highly recommend this spot to start your summer vacation it puts you right in the thick of everything.
Nothing fancy, can get crowded. You pay via a machine where you put your plate number, no need to put a ticket on your dashboard. We spent about $9 for 3 hours.
Get there early! This is an expansive car park one level no car garage for those of us that want to quick access to the boardwalk. You have to remember where you parked and know your license plate number as it is paid by 15 or 30 minute increments. You pay by the time you plan to stay. I did 4 hours one evening I think that cost about $6 or $13, one day we stayed for 6 hours so i think that was the $13 charge, and that went by in a flash. If you plan to ride any rides, do at least 5 hours...the wait is insane during weekends in the summer. Also, if you like Coka Cola products, you won't find them as Pepsi had bought out the area for the summer we went.
Drivers beware. This is a scam! Paid to park but still got a $53.25 bill because they CLAIM I didn't pay. I disputed the bill online and attached a copy of my receipt ticket but obviously it's still not resolved because I received a collection letter. The really kick in the face is the city waited until after their initial payment grace period to mail the invoice. I received it 3 days after the 45 day grace period, so I was charged another $25 fee that's why the total is $53.25. This whole thing is a complete SCAM! It's not like they don't know I already paid, I sent proof plus there where only a half dozen cars in the lot when I was there, so it's not hard to find my payment initially.
This area is one of the big factors that makes Ocean City a more filling place than Rehoboth Beach when it comes down to walking distance between the Beach and the Boardwalk since the parking lot is built closer to the shore. It's beneficial because it saves enough energy for most people that don't have the motivation to walk 3 miles to get to their area while carrying their resources.
Let me start by saying I love Ocean city. The fries, board walk, Ocean and friendliness of most of the people. but i went on vacation there the week of the white marlin PAID for parking like i should then when parking was close to being up my family got in the car and went to leave however the traffic in the lot from the marlin event keep us in line for over a hour which it is what it is oh well. then a month later i get a ticket from OCPD for going over my parking by a hour. Its ridiculous if the cops there were doing their jobs and directing traffic so cars could move it would be one thing but to sit in traffic by thrashers fries see 3 or 4 cops walk by look at traffic then promptly disappear and not do something to ease traffic then get a ticket for it, it's like the city did it on purpose just to make money the city wants me to pay for time over and a admin fee on top of that. Update: rasied rating from 1 star du to following: After calling the number on the ticket they told me they knew.about the back up of cars and were voiding the tickets for that night. Still think they should'nt have even sent tickets out like that but at least they seem to be trying to fix it.
Ocean City decided to host Jeep Fest in the middle of SUMMER and on a busy weekend. They blocked off half the parking lot and ruined our beach weekend. Everyone went up to Rehoboth and overcrowded that beach as a result. This kind of “fest” should happen OFF PEAK like in autumn!
Close and convenient parking lot but at $3.50 an hour it can add up quickly. Fine for a short Boardwalk or beach visit but probably not a place to park all day.
Beautiful place to just sit. Of course it is the beginning of the boardwalk. However there is a new amazing feature....there is parking right up to the edge of the water. Such a beautiful view. On a good day you can even see the Dolphins
They time you when you pull in and exit. So you’re being charged for the time it takes to find a space wait in line for a kiosk after you find one that actually works even when you waiting in line to leave as you yield to all the pedestrians.
