Your outing begins with an interactive, self guided tour of Kinikinnick Ranch through daily activities as they would have happened in the 1930s. The tour explores the origional summer house, port-cochere, croquet court, cattery, play house, garage, as well as the restored flower and vegetable gardens. The Circle of History has hands-on activities that will take you back to the days of chopping wood, hanging laundry out to dry, making soap in a kettle over an open fire, swinging back and forth on a tree swing, or seesawing on a log.
An interpreter will take you on a tour of the original Humphrey home. Then, you may choose to have a picnic in the Double Nikl Picnic and Playground area or have a tea in our Par-tea House. But whatever your choice, it will be a visit to remember.
Our Mission is to tell the story of the life and times of the Humphrey family and their home, the Kinnikinnik Ranch.
The Humphrey Memorial Park and Museum's goal is to preserve and interpret the mountain heritage of Colorado to a diverse public.
Our vision is to present a living history experience that engages, entertains and educates our visitors on the history and challenges our mountain founders faces through the story of the Humphrey family.
Visitors interact with the park through daily activities at the Kinnikinnik Ranch and origional home, including the gagare, cattery, play house, teacherage, as well as the reconstructed visitors cottage, the barn and amimal pens, and the resotred flower and vegetable gardens.
