We brought our "Boys" Dude and Lil' Dude to see Dr. Gore from having previous dealing with her at another hospital. Dr. Gore is and has always been extremely professional, knowledgable, caring, and very patient with us. She treated and cared for our "Boys" as though they were her own. Having Jenn Irwin assisting Dr. Gore was a great surprise and an extra bonus that we were not expecting. They make a great team and we felt so comfortable having our "Boys" seen by them and the care they were giving.
The folks here are simply the best. My cat was admitted for a tooth extraction. They treated him like royalty and everything was priced incredibly fair. The staff were all professional and attentive. You can tell that everyone there is truly passionate about caring for animals. This will be my preferred vet office from now on.
Pro tip: Please don't make a left turn from York Rd into this animal hospital. For one it's not legal, it impedes left lane travel as there isn't a center lane or turn lane 2 no one will let you in during peak traffic times anyway 3 it's very dangerous as you can't see oncoming traffic while turning left if drivers actually do let you through. Please continue north and turn around in the Wells Fargo parking lot, or use the traffic light from the shopping center at York and Shawan Rd to turn back around to safely make a right from York Rd. Thank You: Everyone else that drives on York Rd.
We had a very pleasant experience. Dr. Frank and his staff are extremely knowledgeable about bulldogs and takes the time to answer any questions. We are coming back for surgery and look forward to our French Bulldog living a life of easy breathing.
I have been very happy with the care HVAH has provided to all my pets. Everyone in the office is friendly and informative, and treat my pets with love. Highly recommend. friendliness
We have been having GI issues with our geriatric cat for some times. Our previous vet just kept throwing different prescription foods at the problem without even explaining to us what they thought was going on. At HVAH they took the time to explain what they believe is happening, and are working to actually diagnose the problem to find an effective solution.
I've been a client of Hunt Valley Animal Hospital for over 15 years, even though it's approximately 42 minutes away from my home. Sure, there are multiple animal hospitals between my home in Sparrows Point and Hunt Valley, but I don't care. I go to Hunt Valley because of the excellent veterinarians, the more than competent vet tech, and the skilled and compassionate staff. I've taken three dogs and 11 cats for treatment there over the years and have never been dissatisfied. My pets have primarily been treated by Drs. Brooks, Pondish, and Johnston, but I'd feel secure in having any of the vets there treat my pets. Last year 2022, my husband and I began the new year with seven healthy cats and an eighth with kidney disease, but holding his own. In February, my 17.5 yr old cat, Smudge, developed mouth or jaw cancer and passed within two weeks of diagnosis. In May, our beloved orange & white tabby, Townshend, quickly went downhill from kidney failure and had to be put to sleep at age 18.5 yrs old. We'd been told early in the year that our nine yr old cat had a regrowth of a cancerous leg tumor and we couldn't afford to have her leg amputated - the only means to give her the best chance at ridding her of the now- fast growing tumor. After losing two beloved cats, we couldn't bear to face losing a third, so her amputation was conducted the week after we lost our Townshend. She's recovered amazingly. We couldn't believe that after the sorrow of having two cats pass and a third with a leg amputated, our last "teenager", Nora, at age 14 yrs, suddenly developed a breathing problem due to what eventually was diagnosed in June with abdominal cancer, and she acted as usual, eating, drinking, etc., until October, when she was in pain and had to be euthanized. The point is, each time we were treated by Dr. Pondish and Dr. Johnston, with respect and compassion, knowing how my husband and I were heartbroken each time and how our cats weren't just pets, they were our furry children we didn't have human ones. The staff, especially the front desk employees were so kind, and didn't seem bothered each time I sobbed over the phone to make their final appointments. I still cry thinking about last year. If I could give HVAH 10 stars, I'd gladly do so. I couldn't imagine taking my beloved pets anywhere else.
I took my English bulldog there at the insistence of another vet. The vets there own EB's so they are very knowledgeable about them. So far my dog seems a little better after they changed his meds.
Staff and doctors are friendly. They were one of the few places that fit me in on very short notice so I didn't have to make 2 trips from the ER vet to a regular vet..Also timely with their appointments..Refreshing
This was our first visit. The staff was friendly and they were very gentle with my girls! Dr. Rudo not only explained what she was finding but also showed me as well. I left feeling very good about my cats future care with this team. The kindness and care shown to my animals assures me that I made a great choice in their new vet.
