H.Y. Floor & Gameline Painting Inc. started out in 1969 as a small company that specialized in the maintenance, refinishing and painting of gymnasium wood floors.
The founder of the company Nick Young employed Steve for several years. During these years, Steve became an expert in the industry. Nick retired and Steve purchased the company in 1984.
From Nick’s loyal customers and reputation for quality work , Steve built an impressive client base of Universities, Municipalities, Museums, YMCA’s and public and private schools that call him back year after year to maintain their wood floors. HY Floor has installed or maintained almost all of the major college floors in the Bay Area including Stanford, Cal, UC Davis, Santa Clara University, UCSF and USF. We are also proud to have sanded, painted and finished the practice and playing courts for the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.
Our services include installation, sanding, finishing and game line painting as well as installation of volleyball floor sleeves and floor leveling. We are fully insured and bonded. Most of our key employees have been with us over ten years.
