I have Hy-Vee 5 stars because of the sales. If you buy anything that isn't on sale, be ready to pay way more than like Walmart or Aldi, but the sales are phenomenal.
Some items on sale do not come off at self check out. I told the lady she said I didnt ring it up then she found it then said it wasn't on sale and then we walked over and it was so she said she would take 1.00 off and acted frustrated. Then she saw my face I was not happy. She turnt her badge around so I couldn't see her name I saw but made sure before I left to basically apologize thru a good gesture so I smiled. This lady is awesome. Everyone has a bad day. God bless
The only reason I shop at this completely overpriced store is because it’s right by my house. And now with closing at 10pm and there never being enough lanes open, I only shop here as a last resort. It’s not the experience you advertise, I leave an unhappy customer almost always.
It's a Hyvee. It's a basic grocery store in the midwest. They keep the milks and most other things segregated by "Organic," and regular meaning 1%, 2%, Whole vs lactose free and Silk BTW the milk is hidden in the back corner opposite the entrance. Not by the rest of the milk over by the very nice liquor section.
Their groceries are as excellent as ever, but they are cutting out the best feature- the checkout people. Not one person I spoke with wants do self- checkouts. Customers are not happy with the elimination of the checkout people.

Nice clean environment. Has a lot of good food options to choose from. Even have fresh hot food that you can purchase
The workers were very rude in food service. They had no clue what prices were for there food. The worst one was the head boss especially the female one.
They did the cake and flowers for my wedding and made things so magical! Autumn was so easy to work with and used her creativity to give me the most beautiful arrangements. Highly recommend!
Always good service and very direct of where to go depending on what your looking for especially if it's your first time
