We were very impressed with this campground!!! We have stayed at many campgrounds and this by far was one of the best. It's not a high end campground but it is very well kept. It does not have a swimming pool But It has a pet area, kids play area, and the small lake has an area for swimming and another area for fishing! very very clean showers that are upgraded, staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The campsite itself was in really good shape. Everything was in good working order. The utility poles at the campsites were in good working order with no rust or broken hinges! It might not have been the top end of everything but it was very well maintained! The price was extremely reasonable and it was an all around great place. My only negative is it's by the freeway which wasn't as loud as we thought it was going to be And you couldn't even hear it once inside your RV. But being that close to the freeway it was very easy access! Thank you for our stay we loved your quiet, clean and friendly campground!
Easy access off I-80. They have after-hours check-in. The primitive tent sites are plentiful and grassy. The little lake gives this campground serenity and a view. The girl at the front desk was helpful and kind. The store sells firewood, a few snacks, a few rummage sale items, a little fishing gear, and ice cream. They also have a book sale/exchange. Yes, the road noise is constant but that didn't bother us. There was plenty of shade in the tent areas but none in the RV stalls. The bathrooms are fairly clean and well-lit. There are showers available. You can rent kayaks and other small craft. You can picnic here with a day-pass. There is also catch and release fishing. Nearby activities: We stayed here so we could visit the Cody Go-Kart and Mini golf park.
Great stop for an overnight, close to the highway but not too much highway noise overall. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful since we were arriving after hours I called ahead and they gave me the information I needed. Nice sites with good power. Not too close together. Showers and bathrooms were well kept and recently remodeled. Also has a dog walk area. Would stay here again in the future!
We had a pleasant experience at this campground and we're glad we chose it after a long day of driving! The sites were gravel and overgrown with grass and weeds but it was all mowed and I didn't see any trash. The park is old and dated but we didn't have any issues. It was quiet and the view of the small lake was very nice! Each spot has a picnic table and small fire pit. We didn't use any of the facilities. The front desk girl was nice and helpful. No Wi-Fi. Noteworthy details: Way better and a little cheaper than the Holiday RV park down the road! Skip that place and come here!
Pull through sites. Looks like recently new electric system and bathroom. Cute pond with catch and release fishing. I see children in wet swimsuits. Nice campground store and polite lady checking in. Good rate. Some road noise. Dirt site a little off from level. Around the lake are many primitive tent sites with very nice grass. Recommended.
We stopped here for the night with a tent. There were no other tent campers, so we had one whole side to ourselves. The water was nice, but there are weeds. The bathrooms are clean with toilets and showers. We paid $25.19 for a night of camping. It was super easy to find and pay once arriving. There is a little store where you pay but not much. It is next to the main highway to hear the noise but far enough away that a vehicle won't hit you if it drives off it.
This campground is conveniently located off interstate 80 in North Platte NE. This was a great find. The reservationist was friendly and helpful when we called. Prices are reasonable. The bathrooms are clean and upgraded. We saw they had a beach for swimming and ended up taking a refreshing dip in our clothes . Did I mention they are dog friendly and have a small playground for the kids. If you are just passing thru or looking for a few days to relax don’t hesitate to stay here. Yes there is a slight bit of road noise but not bad at all.
The campground itself was very nice. The owner, not so much...The day after we got there, my wife received a call from the very nice lady in the officeowner's mother saying she saw we had a golf cart, and told my wife that we were not allowed to use the golf cart on the property. I went to the office that afternoon to get ice and I asked her about the "policy". She advised that the ownerher son didn't allow them, but if I wanted to talk to him he would be there on Wednesday to mow the grass at the park. I saw the gentlemen mowing on Wednesday and introduced myself, I asked about this policy, he explained if he were to let me use the golf cart, he would have ten other people wanting to use one, then it would be "side by sides" and who knows what else people would be trying to use. He then told me that it was the policy, and he was the owner, and that was that. I shook my head and walked away from him. I went over to the office and cancelled the second week that we were going to stay there and received my refund for the following week. We did not use the golf cart the entire time we were there that week. On Friday evening we started preparing to load up to leave Saturday morning, I loaded the golf cart with our garbage and went to put it in the the dumpster prior to loading it into the back of the toy hauler. Before I made it to the dumpsterapprox. 40 yards away The owner came running from the back of the office screaming "you just had to do it didn't you, you just had to do it". I told him we were loading it into the trailer and he continued to act very irrational threatening to call the police saying we violated his no "off road vehicle" policy. I shook my head at him and said not to worry, we were leaving in the morning. He called the police and threatened to have us trespassed if we didn't leave that night by 8pm...We have been travelling for seven months now, first time we have had this type of experience with a park owner...Won't be back again..
The campground is well kept and I appreciated the fact that the water and sewage were at each camp site. The thing I did not like is that I couldn't use my own paddle board on the small lake. They said that their insurance won't cover it because they are privately owned. I thought that the place was pretty busy and should be able to get better coverage on insurance. There are disclaimer options to waive any liability that can be drawn up. "Just my 2 cents" Overall the place was nice for the money.
This is the best campground to stop at on your trip out west. Ive stopped here for years and they will reserve a spot for you if you're getting in late and leave a map at the office for you. Super nice owners. The worst part about this place WAS the bathrooms. Barely luke warm water, dark showers and just not what you needed after a long day of travel. However, they just redid the bathrooms and I was pleasantly surprised. They are beautiful and bright and clean and the water was HOT!! A++++++
