Signed up today. Outstanding experience with the manager, Will. I am not the easiest sales prospect, and he listened to me, provided all of the information that I needed, and he didn’t deliver the hard-sell you find in most fitness clubs. The facilities are great, and I can't wait for my first workout there tomorrow.
So, I have been a return member for over a year now. I recently moved and started visiting the gym in my new area. I want to publicly shout out the gym manager in Snellville, Will . The bathrooms are clean and smell cleanwhen you walk in even though you can see it’s a very busy place at times, every corner smells clean. There are nice little touches in the locker room that make you feel like you’re inside of a spaThank you for that. Secondly I went to go and weigh myself, everyone was super nice. But I really want to take the time to thank Will. He was super friendly and helpful. He gave some really good encouragement and was just so personable in a truly genuine way. I wish more establishments understood the value in knowing your people and forming positive relationships. His words of encouragement are just what I needed to hear. I was considering canceling my membership but the experiences I have had here will put that on pause. I hope the upper management team understands what a gem they have at this gym .
Will is an amazing ambassador for LA Fitness. New to the area and looking for a gym... he was professional, friendly and valued me as a potential client. I left impressed and with a membership! Kudos LA Fitness!
I keep having to be reminded how terrible this location is. The biggest game today, heat@nuggets 06/01, and no tv is showing the game other than a small box with six different games. That’s not why I’m giving it a 1/5 why. I gave this review was due to the fact when I called up front to see how I can use the remote on the treadmill; the person up front at 9:05 pm answered very sarcastically answering a question with another question asking “ your at the gym wanting to watch tv at the gym” then hung up in my face. I called back and was told he never used a TV before and didn’t know how to change the channels. Last time coming here I should have learned my lesson from last time I was here 8 months ago I was told cops would be called on me for using the pool an hour before the closed. When I called corp obviously the gym was wrong for closing their pool we pay for hours early the operation closed time. I try to give place second or third tries in hopes they change my opinion but this place honestly hasn’t changed one bit. Terrible
Very dirty, and smelly, not because of the people but because of the facility! Why do members even have to pay for these? I just wanted you to visit the OLDER La Fitness, such as the one on hwy120 near Sugar Mill, and compare, it's very old BUT spotlessly clean!
This place needs to be shut down for a day or two for a deep cleaning, then find some people to keep it clean. A locker room can smell like sweat, but not reek of it or smell of urine. Paper towel dispensers should have paper towels and garbage cans should not be overflowing all over the floor. The only reason, and I truly mean the only reason I keep coming back is Mehdin, the trainer I work with. He keeps routines fresh and challenging.
The manager, Cody, is by far the best thing about this gym! He is so friendly, kind, and helpful with every person that walks through the doors. He always has a smile on his face, which makes my workouts so much easier! Thank you for all your hard work, Cody! You have completely turned this gym around and you deserve to be recognized for that!! Keep it up!!!
This location is 3-5 minutes from my house, but i’d rather drive 20 minutes to the Duluth Highway location instead of come here. There is a new broken machine every time I come in. It is hot in the gym which makes working out uncomfortable. Sauna is broken frequently, machines are old and always scheduled for service, workout room is always hot/humid.
I actually almost left because I felt like a number rather rather a person. Then, Will Cummings introduced himself- extremely down to earth and honest. Prior to meeting Will, the other gentleman was overly pushy- almost like a used cars salesman I don't remember his name if that tells you anything. It was awful and actually made me very uncomfortable. The facility itself is decent, I appreciated the tour Will provided. He asked me exactly what I was looking for as opposed to trying to sell me the most expensive option to benefit him while wrecking my bank account. I am so thankful for Will- wish they had more staff like him. Stair monster here we come!
I ask the staff to assist me and show me a particular equipment and he was more interested and entertaining his friends. Pointed out the equipment which didn’t help with the sea of equipment and left me confused and frustrated. The bathroom was disgusting I ultimately got my belongings and just left even though this location is closest to my home I drove 30mins away to another location and will not come back. However this location is nicer equipped staff is not and cleanness is a concern. I am big on customer service which this location is lacking.
