We had an amazing hibachi dinner here! We took my dad for his birthday as it’s been many years since going to this location, and it did not disappoint! We had to wait a little to place our order since our pert of 3 were seated first and had to wait for other people to be seated at the hibachi table but that was fine! They have many options for hibachi and also for normal table service meals. Our hibachi chef was amazing! He was so much fun and very entertaining but also cooked up a great dinner! Can’t wait to come back and try something different! And the sake was great!
As a Japanese person the food here besides the fish was very bad. The atmosphere is nice the restaurant is beautiful on the inside, but the food is not good at all. If you get anything eat the raw fish that’s it. It’s surprisingly edible. There’s even some Chinese food on the menu at a Japanese restaurant, but it doesn’t taste very good either. Would not recommend, for any price but especially not 23 dollars.
Phenomenal food and employees My grandma and I decided to order food to go while in the car at Giant Eagle and then when I saw how big the restaurant is inside, we decided to eat inside my first experience eating in a restaurant in 2 years!. The employees were patient and understanding and wonderful. The food is the best I've ever had, hands down! My grandma even decided the sushi looked good enough to try for the first time and enjoyed it! Thankful to the phenomenal employees who made this a wonderful experience for us both in the midst of crazy times. I appreciate you all and I hope you stay safe and healthy. Thank you for all you do! You are saving lives today you saved us from our shopping hunger/hanger!
Great food and service. The staff is friendly and the chef makes great sushi. I was here for a business lunch and they did not disappoint. If you’re going low carbohydrate they will accommodate and offer extra veggies instead of rice.
What an incredible mess.. and im just not even going into details. We came in were told a 5min wait. 30min later They seated us at 6:45 and left at 8:30 after no cook ever showed up. We sat through 4 shows all the banging and racket heat and smells... it wasn't a busy day or any special occasion. Just weekday meal night. I absolutely hate giving these kinds of reviews..
Absolutely awesome. Amazing food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant. The fish was fresh and the rolls surprisingly delicious.Food: 5/5
It's been forever since we've been to a Japanese steak house and this particular location has probably changed names at least twice in the last five years. On the other hand, we had one person in our party who commented that it's been that long since we've had this experience, so convinced the party to give them a try. While the place has changed names, the interior does not look any different than what I remember it from years ago. It is HUGE and long. The part by the entrance is divided into two dining rooms where you can sample items from their sushi menu, or other offerings. The back half has two rooms dedicated to their Hibachi tables. About the only more notable item on the hibachi menu was the presence of Red Snapper, so we tried that. Aside from that, it's a standard set up. You get the miso soup, the salad drenched in a ginger dressing, fried rice, noodles, and then a mixes vegetable collection and your protein of choice. The big thing, of course, is the show. In our case, we were able to watch three different cooks go through their routines. They were all average to non-descript. They were pleasant enough, smiled, and made lots of noise by banging their spatulas against the table surfaces, etc. If you've been to these kinds of places, you would recognize that it was all standard fare. The food was disappointing. They only used butter and soy sauce as seasoning. Even the sesame seeds that we used to see is gone. The yum-yum sauce and ginger sauce were presented, of course, but they seemed watered down to us. Our cook was nice enough and dealt with each of our requests politely and correctly. He did the Sake pouring routine, the throwing of the cut zucchini, and the onion volcano, etc. But again, this was nothing unusual or done with much enthusiasm. It was OK. That's just it. Just Ok. I guess it will be several to many more years before we go to another Japanese steak house...
We went here for my son's birthday. There were a lot of us so they put us in a private room in the back which I thought was nice. The waitress was great. Even with 15 of us she kept us with our drinks and everything else. The food was very good. We loved the crab rangoon. It is hard to find good ones around here and I almost didn't order them but I'm glad I did. My only complaint would be that our chef didn't speak a whole lot of English so when we was cooking the steak it was difficult to try to tell him who wanted medium rare, medium, medium well, well. We had to kind of watch it and then tell him when to take it off and who to give it to. Except for that everything else was great. He did speak some English so we could talk to him. We like this place compared to other Hibachi places because it is quieter and not super busy. They also have a nice bar. It's very clean inside. When we were finished with our meal they put on birthday music and brought my son out fried ice cream and lit candles for him. The waitress also offered to take a picture of all of us which I thought has so nice. The food was very good and everyone was so polite. This was our 2nd time there for a birthday in less than a month!
Went to eat here on a Friday night at 7:30 pm with a friend. Called to ask what time they close and no one answered on the first attempt. We walked in and the hostess was very unwelcoming and told us to sit at the bar because takeout was busy, we proceeded to sit at the bar and watched the hostess sit around and chat with a customer and only saw one takeout order the whole time we were there. The bartender took a little bit to approach us as well once we sat down. I ordered the volcano roll that was phenomenal - this is the only reason I would return. When we sat down at the bar, we noticed 2 beers waiting to get picked up for about 20 minutes - I feel sorry for the guests who were served those warm beers. Additionally, I have ordered takeout here in the past and they told me it would take 20 minutes. When I arrived to pick the food up they said it would be 5 minutes but I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes for my takeout. Along with that, they did not pick up the phone again that time after making numerous attempts to call my order in. Overall, my experience here was below average and this place seems to have gone downhill since their name change. They treat their customers as an inconvenience, probably will not return for a while.
Very pleasant. Food was prepared well. Chef was considerate of our tastes & was informative on explaining the presentation of the food. Will go back. Price wad right.Food: 5/5
