College is more than just taking classes, and living in the residence halls is a great way to get the most out of your college experience, especially during your first year. Recent research shows that traditional age students living in the residence halls at ISU tend to have higher GPAs than their peers living off-campus. Surrounded by fellow students you will meet new friends from around the world, and our highly trained Resident Assistants can help you adjust to college life both in and out of the classroom. The residence halls are close to everything on campus and students have a variety of meal plans from which to choose. You will have the option of eating in one of our great retail areas or the all-you-can-eat buffet at the Turner Dining Commons. All provide great food and a friendly atmosphere.
For upperclassmen and non-traditional students looking for a more independent experience, University Housing apartments are an excellent choice. We offer affordable rental rates, flexible lease periods, and close proximity to everything on campus.
Whether you choose the residence halls or the apartments, living on campus will provide you with greater opportunities to participate in campus activities and to meet more people.
The mission of University Housing is to provide secure, clean, and affordable living-learning environments that promote student engagement by encouraging and supporting opportunities for academic success, personal development, community building, and the well-being of each individual resident.
