I’ve been going here about 2 months now for figure skating lessons, and it’s the best skating rink I’ve ever been to! The service is amazing, and the teachers here are so nice and they explain everything so well which makes it so much easier to learn how to skate! The teachers know what they are doing and make sure that everything is well run and they pay close attention to each of their students to help them learn. They also play music while you’re skating and I think that just helps to lighten the mood and add to the pleasure of the overall experience. About a year ago, I went to the flyers skate zone for lessons, and it was terrible. It was very poorly run. There was 2 classes. One for the older kids and one for the younger kids. And there was only 1 teacher managing it all. She was very grumpy and did not explain things well at all. She did not tell you if you were doing it right or wrong and did not bother to help you improve your skating at all. She was clearly struggling to manage both groups of students by herself. I quit that place and stopped skating for a year after that. I began lessons at the igloo skating rink, and like I said it was amazing and it still is! I definitely recommend this place
We went to this ice rink for my son's hockey game. Overall the place was clean, with clean and well stocked bathrooms. Concession stand had good choice of rather inexpensive in comparison to our area food, lots of parking. I like that there was Information area, skating store, and rental lockers very small though. The only negatives were very narrow and uncomfortable bleacher seats with limited view.
Four skaters in our family have been skating here for over 5 years. It is one of the best rinks for figure skating. The manager Rocky is very helpful. The coaches and ballet instructor are top notch. It is also one of the cleanest and most well-maintained compared to others in the region. I am not the only one who loved skating here so much I dreamed of living nearby.
Nice rink with large area to watch game in the snack bar. People friendly and helpful. Ice is good to skate on.
Learnt to skate program is great, especially Tara and Larry as they really give individual attention to those who need it.
Decent price for the rink. Ice was in decent condition however I wish they had more times for public skates.
So open hockey prices jumped from $9 to $23 in a year!? I’d never pay $23 for an hour & a half of hockey
Nice rinks. Plenty of seating. Semi heated. We found a warm spot. Snack/food bar is great, lots of good choices and the staff are awesome. The place is clean and well kept. Bathrooms are better than most skate centers. Tons of parking too! I was a little disappointed that it wasnt shaped like an igloo. ;
A very clean and well maintained ice skating rink. Indoor is a plus. The skates are great for kids but adult ones are not well maintained. We had a good time
The Igloo rink has been consistently a well ran facility for as long as it’s been open. Been playing here myself and with my kids for about 20 years. Snack bar is one of the better ones in a hockey rink. Bathrooms, locker Rooms, lobby, etc are all clean and well kept. Ice is typically very good.
