Comfortable beds with an affordable price, located in Fort Jackson with everything near by to make a stay very nice. Moderately clean, ours smelled a little weird when we arrived. Parking is also quirky because there are two lots rather than parking surrounding the building.Rooms: 4/5
Thought it was great for what it was. Def no complaints and Steve was very helpful.Rooms: 5/5
We stay here or the Candlewood at least two nights a week due to activities my children have on post and we live so far to feel like driving home after. And after being in the house a year its a nice "Staycation" for the kids. Ms Pam is AMAZING! We had for the first time small issues this last stay this past weekend. and before I could even say what I may need she was on top of it and had it resolved. I can not thank her enough for all her hard work and the amazing customer service! The entire staff is AMAZING! <3
Stayed here for Drill sergeant school, and they literally called and said I need to change hotels due to scheduled renovations of the room I was in. Mind you I was already there for three out of the nine week's I was booked to stay there. Why would you put someone in a room that you knew was scheduled for renovations. Such an inconvenience. They literally told me I needed to be out the room the same day I was notified.
Stayed here for 3 months straight. Overall, not bad! Can’t complain. The facility itself is pretty rundown but the staff is really kind. They are willing to help and are attentive but also they work on their own schedule. Many times, something was needed by myself or one of the others in my group. That need usually went unfixed for extended periods of time. Gina was great tho- awesome housekeeper.
Front Desk Assistance only works at certain times, so it’s a hit or miss.Rooms: 2/5
I wish I could give 5 stars! However this was the worst experience. The hotel was so nasty. The tub was not clean, it looked as if water sat in it for days and then they let the water out without cleaning it afterwards. The whole floor had a horrible smell to it, including the room I stayed in. The carpet was so nasty, when I arrived I took my shoes off and my feet were nasty with dirt from walking around the room barefoot, which caused me to have to wear shoes the entire stay. Now the convenience of being on base is what made me stay and bare it all, and it is what will make me stay again. Being on base made it convenient to get to the Graduation activities as well as to spend time with the solider seeing that the first couple of days they were not able to leave base. The staff was very helpful when I needed any information, and they were prompt when I called to report the toilet flooding the room. It is a very old hotel space, however that is not an excuse for it not being cleaned and well kept. Some other people I met while staying there had a little bit of a better experience. So maybe it was just the room I stayed in. They have a shuttle that pretty much can take you where you need to go on base, and this also was a great perk. Like I said if I'm able to visit again I will give it another try just because it is a great location.
The place was nice, but not that clean, a few small bugs and the heater was broken. Freezing in the room. Waited till after midnight to have them bring comforters and a portable heater! Was a bit disappointed. And the curtains didn't fit the window. Sad but it was a place to stay for a very important occasion. Seeing my Grandson Graduate.
We booked as early as possible for our son's BCT graduation. The last rooms on post were at Dozier Hall. Read some very sad reviews, but we booked on post so the teen could crash/sleep on family day if he wanted. Reviews we read were deplorable...however, we found our kitchenette to be suitable. The room was very clean & well supplied. Yes. it is an older building, but it served our needs perfectly. Great place to stay at a great price! Loved our stay.
Got my room keys, went to my room and both key failed to open door. I returned to the main building where the main office is located, about a quarter mile and asked for another set of keys. Return to room, and the new keys still did not worked. A maid helped me with a master key, and 30 minutes later my key worked. Another family I met had the same problem as i described above. Another problem is that most of the AC outlets the top outlet was not working. The phone in the living room was plugged into the wrong jack. The rooms are not bad for a two day stay and kind of central to everything. The base is building a new hotel next to Dozier.
