Il Bel Lago

Pretty standard suburban Italian restaurant, nice if you live in the area, but doesn't have near the vibe of The Hill. It's in a stripmall for one... Food was okay. I got the lasagna and it was noticably too salty. Service was okay, not great but not bad. Decent beer selection. Had two Italian beers you don't see most other places.

If you are ever in the area, this restaurant should definitely be on your list. Great ambiance for those specials days, date nights, business or family gatherings. The customer service was on point, the food delicious. Best lamb I’ve had . I also ordered a small smoked salmon pasta, sauced just right and the Tiramisu I enjoyed indulging in!!! We even got the chance to meet the chef himself. I wish I took more pictures as they have a full bar and more dining area. Thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back.

We ate dinner at Il Bel Lago for our ladies book club. Great ambience in the dinning room. I noticed a more casual area near the bar with lots of seating. There are several areas that can accommodate larger groups for celebrations and business lunches. I ordered the ceasar salad, fusilli pasta, mascato, and raspberry sorbet. Very delicious! Attentive wait staff.

Love this place! Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Ask for Gina at the bar. Amazing drinks. Fabulous food. High end, dining and great date night. Gorgeous private room for parties. We sat at the bar and had drinks and apps. Can't wait to go back for a full meal!

Rating: 4.8 Stars This was my first trip to Il Bel Lago, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the Lasagna, and it was absolutely fantastic. The sauce was sweet, and meat had great flavor and was not too salty. The cheese was tasty, and the basil added a lot of flavor. Additionally, the flat pasta was superbly cooked. The components of this Lasagna complimented each other perfectly. Lastly, I absolutely loved the generous portion. I also had two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was good. I was here to give a lecture, and I had to wait to eat my meal. They kindly delayed brining my order out until after the talk, which was greatly appreciated. The waiter was very attentive. I look forward to coming back here with a date if I can find one.

We visited II Bel Lago for an appreciation dinner with buisness colleagues. The food and drinks were fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and attractive. The menu was top tier. We're definitely placing II Bel Lago in our top 5 favorites for Italian food in St. Louis. However, I will say that it was obvious that our waiting staff prioritized larger tables. Our waiter even left our table in the middle of order our entrées to attend to a different table. Overall the waiting staff seemed kind of wonky and dated. A younger, less assertive, waiting staff would have yielded a better experience.

Love, love, love this restaurant, very upscale great atmosphere you can eat inside or outside. The service is amazing from the owner to the bus boys they keep check on you to see if you need anything. The food and drinks are very good, we can't wait to go back. And the icing on the cake was to see that from Michael Jordan to Oprah Winfrey along w/former presidents has eaten at this restaurant.

Dined w 6 others at 6 30 pm. Service was friendly but a little slow at times. Food was excellent for me but two of group were not very impressed. Waiter disappeared once check was paid though it was not very crowded. We just wanted someone to take a photo. Secondary staff and busers were very friendly and on top of things. I gave a super great tip hoping a good amount would be split with them.

Had the pleasure of dining here with family and friends for the first time yesterday. Excellent food, lively atmosphere and great service. Our waiter, Brett, was very kind and attentive - he really made us all feel at home. Definitely going back for more. Dietary restrictions: The chef can make several items gluten-free. Did not disappoint.
