Oishi has been a family favorite for a long time. Their lunch special is the best! You get you choice of one roll and 3 sashimi or 2 rolls, plus miso soup and a salad for $13.00! Their signature Lobster Roll is fabulous! I have been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal. I highly recommend.
Excellent food very nice and friendly service.Good beer Sapporo and the best mai tai cocktail best sushi in town
This was a great place to have sushi for bruch. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was great. I would recommend trying the Lobster roll I was very impressed. Would recommend this to anyone who loves sushi.
I came to this place yesterday ordered two lobster boats….. which are usually good but yesterday I had a couple of bites of realizing there was no lobster in them. I flagged the waitress and said hey there is no lobster at all, but it’s only breading. I dissected each bite and showed her each and every bite lacking lobster. Then she took my boats to supposedly the Chef and then came back and said I can give you 10% discount. I tried to be polite and left, and I will never go there again.
I ordered the lunch special with 2 Philadelphia rolls with smoked salmon and deep fried. Presentation for carryout was beautiful. EXCEPT someone put asparagus instead of cucumber in my rolls. I can't eat asparagus that's woody so it went in the trash. My first experience there the week before was AMAZING this time a waste of 18$
Was pretty excited to try this place as I've heard good things. My experience was disappointing. We went during lunch hour, it was busy & they were short staffed. We understood the wait. However when the food came out the rolls were already falling apart, the rice was not sticky at all. There was not any rhyme or reason as to how they placed the rolls, looked as if they just threw them into the boat. The boat itself was the only good/cool thing about the experience. We ordered multiple signature rolls & one of them was topped with calimari which was super surprising & disappointing because no where in the description did it mention that, so that went to waste. We spent a lot & didn't eat much.. won't be adding this to my sushi roation.
Oishi is excellent for a quick and easy lunch. The price is right, the staff is always attentive, the ingredients top notch. But what they do better than most is their octopus salad. Its huge, meaty but crunchy, and hits all the right notes. They have been consistent for over a decade which is no easy feat.
Best sushi in St. Louis!!! My wife and I have been going to Oishi for 7 years and it never disappoints. The sushi is always fresh and all of their rolls are great! The staff is also great; very polite, knowledgeable, and welcoming.
Courteous and attentive staff who welcomed us despite our late arrival. The appetizers were great and the main sushi was innovative, fresh and delicious. Thanks to the locals here on Maps for their reviews which helped us decide to come here.Recommended dishesSpicy Tuna Roll, Roll
Great sushi and great service, I had the Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious! Prices are on point and a great atmosphere. The eel and tuna is fresh.. Pretty chill place. It's family-ish in a cool way. Eat there if you like Japanese food... btw try the Japanese pickles
