My x-ray technician Elaine was professional, efficient, and very personable. She double-checked the images, and took re-shoots of a couple, to make sure they were of the right position and quality. I was treated with respect and consideration every step of the way, and the whole process took only about an hour.
My doctor ordered a chest x-ray for breathing complications. My total time spent at LewisGale Memorial was maybe 45 minutes. The technicians in the Radiology department were kind, courteous, and got me in and out in under five minutes. I would have no problem using them again. Very happy with my visit.
This imaging and pre testing center has a lot to learn about patient services and privacy . As I sat in the waiting room after I signed in 4 people that signed in after me were take to registration and then seen . Very unprofessional in the front office eating instead of getting people registered . But thank god for the wonderful ladies in the bk . I won’t EVER have anything else done here .
During a significant rise in Covid cases, the waiting room was packed. Many were not socially distanced. Visitors were also seated using chairs that should be for patients Having had recent major surgery using Carilion offices, imaging, and hospital, the difference is stark. Lewis-Gale needs to follow Carillon’s model on how to operate facilities during this pandemic.
I am extremely dissapointed in this facility. My wife is taking a medication which increases her risk of blood clots in the lung. She had a hard time breathing on a Friday morning. Her doctor ordered an immediate chest xray and CTA scan with instructions that the results be read on site to determine if it was indeed a lung clot to determine if she should be admitted to the hospital. It took 5 hours to finish all the testing, only to find that all the doctors had left for the day. Lucky our physican worked with us after hours with the on call doctor at the hospital to get the results. The attitude of the staff was abysmal, as they literally carted us out the locked doors after just finally finished scanning my wife. If given a choice, I would never choose this place again. You're better off going to the ER as bad as that sounds. This is a terrible organization.
I just wanted to say that this is the first time I have ever had a pleasant experience with a mammogram...it was pain free and I had a wonderful technician who was helpful and so friendly...thank you Rhonda. It’s a welcoming facility with very nice people. I will definitely spread the word to my friends!
Check your billing. If you have a secondary insurance they claim to not have the information on file. Not sure why they copy my insurance cards if they don't record them. This is a reoccurring problem.
Every time I have been scheduled for the Imaging Center I show up and then I am sent to Radiology inside the hospital.
The lady at patient access was rude, she acted like I was burden because I needed an x-ray.
Such a friendly yet professional place, From the front desk, registration to my technician, everyone was helpful. Would recommend to everyone. Will use anytime needed . .
