Description

In Focus Psychiatry LLC is a psychiatric practice founded in Desoto County to meet the mental health needs of the community. The projected opening date is August 1, 2016.

This practice is owned and operated by Erin Harrell, a psychiatric nurse practitioner who lives in Hernando, Mississippi. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis and her graduate degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Erin has experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment and hopes to bring personalized, compassionate mental health care to her community while advocating for the destigmatization of mental illness.

The staff and Dr’s are always pleasant and I’ve never had any issue. You are in good hands and very knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend Conner she seems to always leave me with a feeling of comfort and puts me on the right track. Very family oriented and gives you hope that your in good hands. Treats patients like family and demeanor puts you at ease. She takes care of my family !
I liked my doc,and even she saw me and my wife at the same time.she listened,she gave positive feedback on handling situations. But,me bieng me it's that I just started working with her and it's hard for me to be close to anyone.so I have to place my efforts into this also.she seems to be genuine. She makes a very comfortable enclosure, so your kinda chill.more to come as I begin my new journey with the doc.
This review is concerning the Oxford location. I have driven more than an hour twice for an appointment only to be turned around both times. The first time they said I didn't turn my paperwork in 24 hours before my appointment. I told them on multiple occassions I did not have access to the paperwork. They finally faxed it to me but by then it was already less than 24 hours until my appointment. So my appointment was cancelled. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until I arrived at the office. Not only was this a waste of gas, I also lost a sick day at work. Despite my frustration I rescheduled my visit. The visit was rescheduled for yesterday. I took another day off work and drove to their Oxford office. Not living in Oxford, I googled their address. The address in google is incorrect and caused me to be 13 minutes late. They are well aware that the address is incorrect because the receptionist said they have reached out to Google to have it updated but they still refused to see me. I've rescheduled again, but will probably end up cancelling. I honestly don't feel well, but they obviously don't care. I can't wait another month just to have them turn me around at the door.
Poor service. Out for the money only. Don't care about the patients. Don't help you. Racist WBs!!!
Love the atmosphere, big plus to the front desk for always being very friendly. My doctor Katelyn is a great listener and very understanding. this group has helped me grow with my personal struggles and always cared for my health and safety. Recommend for anyone in the area who needs a psychiatrist that listens and is receptive! They also have a therapy group, New Directions, downstairs in the same building- I also attend monthly and I couldn’t be more grateful for the fact they’re so close by convenience wise and as a whole they have been incredibly helpful to me for the last year in my personal growth and healing.

I've been seeing Katelyn Connor for approximately 3 years. Excellent service as always. Everyone is just so nice, friendly and caring. Katelyn Connor is wonderful very caring couldn't meet a much nicer person. So happy I found someone I can see that actually cares about me and is willing to go above and beyond to help me with whatever I need. Highly, highly recommended.
Dr. Connor is a very understanding and always open to communicate. I feel she truly listens and tries to find the best solution to whatever I'm dealing with. I've seen other doctors in the past that simply just wanted to medicate me, but not listen to me or do thorough examination of my problems/disorder. I appreciate the time she takes and the care she shows each time I visit with her. I actually feel heard. I don't feel like I'm just another patient or that I'm there just to have my refills given to me. I can be open and honest with her and that's what I'm most thankful for. I would highly recommend In Focus. They have great staff and my doctor is one of a kind.
First time at In Focus. Katelyn Conner is new to this practice, but my son has been seeing her for a few years. We followed her from her previous location, because we just love her, and my son was just about refusing to see anyone else! I can’t think of another health care professional that I could recommend as highly! My son was needing some quick changes to medications and the office got us an appointment within 24 hours, and would have gotten us in immediately if we had been available to do so at the time. We had a 3:00 appt, but got in early to do paperwork. The office is extremely pleasant, and well ran. The receptionists were attentive and professional, and were extremely helpful with any questions. Had to call back due to insurance and medication issues and the employee who took the message for the Dr was very helpful. So many offices I’ve been to are filled, rushed and and have a lot of the “in and out” attitude and I was very pleased to not feel any of that from the second we walked in until we walked out. While it’s only been one visit and we are new, I will be sure to write an updated review after having been in the office a few times. Either way, no matter what, we will continue to come see Katelyn!!
DOCTORS ARE VERY CARING. NICE AND HOMELY.They go way beyond than just a Dr. They are friendly,caring and understanding. They treat you the way you expect to be treated. They get 100 stars in my book. They listen and understand what your going through. Check them out tell them Teresa Perry referred you. They are truly the greatest. You won't be disappointed.
