Such a great place . Lots of history, nice rangers, easy parking, clean bathrooms. One of the most beautiful black oak trees I've ever seen. Restrooms: Very clean Picnic area: Great place to have a picnic
This was an enjoyable day trip for light hiking on the Northern and Southern trails while exploring the environmental campground and museum/visitors center gift shop.
Beautiful, peaceful, and educational. If you need a nice place to think and be inspired this is a wonderful place for it
I was on a school trip mid October and we didn't get to stay for too long, but really enjoyed getting to make a stop here! Definitely encourage anyone to spend some time reading up on this place and look around. Super pretty and educational! Plus there's a gift shop on site! The gentleman managing the gift shop was the sweetest. I want to say his name was Bill.
Great for families school trips and families with little kids. Lots of paved walking and a small half mile trail.
We had a Girl Scouts troop here camping this past weekend. Great camping spots with good amount of space. The only negative was you can hear cars going by on the street that gets you there. Other than that, this place is clean and a perfect little getaway from the city. They really do a great job with the grounds. Keep the great work!
A beautiful, well thought out little park. The trails are well laid out and really highlight the rocks themselves. The visitor center / museum is excellent with plenty of exhibits and a good level of information to learn but not bore young minds. Note that the park itself is both zero alcohol and no dogs. Dog-friendliness: Not dog friendly
Clean and simple museum. Nice state park, which is clean and family friendly. There are only two hikes, which are about 2 miles total. Restrooms: Clean, modern restroom.
Very cool place! So quiet and peaceful, especially early in the morning. Nobody is there but the rangers.
Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park is a captivating journey into Native American history. The ancient grinding rocks are awe-inspiring, reflecting the rich cultural heritage. The well-maintained trails offer a peaceful nature walk, and the museum provides insightful exhibits. A culturally enriching experience for all!
